As soon as Jinxx said that Darling grows deathly pale and I know what she's thinking of...

faith please help me!!" She screams as I walk through her door.
" Shut up, It's all your fault," her dad yells, voice consumed by anger. then he sees me and he let's go of her arm.
"Let's get out of here," she says her face tearstreaked and full of pain. we got to my house and she showed me her stomach. It was bruised and turning redder by the second.
" What happened?" my voice quavered with fear of learning the truth...
"That son-of-a-bitch who calls himself my father kicked me and says it was my fault because I came home late from school... It happens whenever he's mad. Don't worry, and try to protect me... I'm strong enough," she said wincing with each breath.
