Little Biersack

As I open the door, the house was filled with the aroma of herbs, and it was appetizing. I close the door and quietly walked to the kitchen, just to see Hailey dancing while she was mixing some ingredients for who knows what. I slowly go up to her and hug her back, she lets out a welp and looks down at my arms. She relaxes and chuckles.
"Almost gave me a heart attack." She said, slapping my leg. "I hope you're hungry."
"Famished." She smiles in glee and continues to cook. "Need help?" She nods and points to the cabbages.
"Cut that for me?" I nod and take off my jacket, and washing my hands, before grabbing a knife and started to cut the cabbage. She looks at me and smiles. I grab a red bowl and put the cabbage there. Jake would be so proud of me. I grabbed some cucumber, onion and grabbed a small box of.... Baby tomatoes?
"You went shopping?" I asked her, looking at the small box.
"I didn't want sit around and just be sad, Andy. If Machi was here, she'll want me to be cooking. I cook when I'm sad, cause I eat when I'm sad... No judging." I chuckle and nod. Well then. She squats down and takes out a delicious looking lasagna.
"That looks great." I said, putting some olive oil into the salad.
"It's gonna taste great too." She says, walking to the table, which was also nicely decorated. I smile, but then felt myself frown.
I had to tell her I'm going to leave. Denise the fact that I don't want too. I want to stay with my daughter... With this beautiful woman.
But this is what a rocker has to go through.
"You okay there?" She was standing in front of me, a beer in her hand.
"Yeah." We sit on the table and I served our food.
"How was the meeting?" She asks, putting a forkful of salad into her mouth.
"Eventful." I said. Not wanting her to continue her investigation. We're having such a great moment, and I dont want to ruin it.
"How so?"
"Uhm, they announced...." I pause. I look at her, and her eyes were filled with confusion. "They announced a tour."
"Oh." And her face fell. She picked a other forkful, but she didn't seem like before.
"Hailey, I tried to cancel it. Please understand."
"What about MACY?"
"I have a week." I whispered, loosing all my appetite, although my plate was almost empty.
"A week..." She stand up and begins to walk out of the table area. I wipe my face and rush to get to her. She was standing at the end of the hallway, her shoulders bouncing.
"Hailey.... Please. I tried too, believe me, I begged him to let me stay. He just doesn't want to give it to me."
"OUR DAUGHTER IS IN THE EDGE OF DEATH ANDREW!" She yelled. "DONT YOU KNOW?!"
"I know."
"I just got you back." She whispered. "I really need you here, Andy... I really do." She hugs me and cries into my shirt. I had her and occasionally kissed the top of her head. "Please don't leave me." She begged me. "I need you..." I didn't say anything, instead I just held her. We stayed like this for a few moments, and she looks into my eyes, her green eyes surrounded by red and glossy. "A week?" I nod. "Then let's make it worth it..." I look at her confused, but then her lips were on mine. The force she used, I felt it. I kissed her back, and her arms wrapped around my neck. This might such cliche as hell, but I seriously felt that spark. Yeah, the one the women talk about? Yeah that one.
"What was that for?" I asked her, as she puts her head against my chest again.
"Just making sure you're not going to forget me."
"Hailey Naino... Forget you? Never." She smiles against my skin. She yawns, and I couldn't blame her, I was beyond tired and stressed as well. "Why don't you go to bed, and I'll catch up." She nods and I kiss her lips once more before letting her go. She walks towards the bedroom, while I cleaned up the dishes and put away the things. I dry my hands and walked towards the bedroom, taking off my shirt in the progress. I opened the door and she was laying down, her phone in her hands, her green eyes concentrated on the tiny screen. I quickly take off my jeans, and laid down next to her, bringing her closer to me. She puts her phone down and we stayed in this position in silence.
"I wonder what Machiala would say if she saw us this way."
"She'll probably be jumping in the bed, or even jump in place." We both chuckle as our imagination expanded. "Andy... What are we?"
"A boy and a girl." She slaps my chest and I let out a grunt, and laughed.
"Seriously, Andy."
"Well... You just attacked me with a great kiss... Who knew you would be a great kisser."
"I've been told." She said, smiling.
"Jealous." She laughs, and I smile. "Who was it, so I can kick his ass for touching my woman."
"Well then, You better kick your own ass because you said that to me... 15 years ago." I smile and kiss the top of her head. "Can I be honest with you?"
"Of course."
"There wasn't one day I regretted that day. My life changed for the better. I love my life now, I have the perfect daughter, a beautiful man by my side, my dream job, what more could I want?"
"I don't know... An official title to our relationship." She chuckles and nods. "This is so unromantic, but what the hell... Be mine?" She looks at me and smiles.
"It took you some time, Biersack."
