Little Biersack

I sit on the breakfast bar and served myself some cereal as my dad got ready to go out.
"Where we going?" I asked him as I take a spoonful of lucky charms.
"We have Movies, maybe shopping, and barbecue with the guys." I look at my outfit and shrug. My high waisted shorts, knee high black socks, and my batman shirt was alright for these things. Maybe I can change my shorts to a skirt for the barbecue, but nah.
I was to lazy to change either way.
"There's still take out in the fridge." My dad says as he gets the gallon of orange juice. "You slept last night.."
"I was tired." I said, yawning. "I've been sleepy these past days. Don't judge me."
"Finals?" I nod. "Harsh... I never did them."
"Rebel." He grins and nods. "Here you are, telling me you never did finals.. And mom telling me being stressed about finals from the beginning of the semester."
"I'm pretty sure your mother is a very smart woman, Macy." I nod.
"And you're a very bright girl." I look at my cereal. "Hey, don't be so harsh on yourself. You are. You're mom showed me your last report cards, when you were back in Washington."
"I know, I just wish I could continue that here." I whisper. "And you are, as long as you're trying your hardest, I'm going to be proud of you."
"But it ain't my hardest." I said back, now just dropping my milk from my spoon. "It's just so different at Washington. I was happy, really happy, I didn't have friends, but I wasn't bullied. I talked to people, and I wasn't afraid of anyone. Of course, I'm not afraid of anyone now, but still." I look into his ice eyes. "It's just so much easier to be myself, to express my talent back home then here." I said quietly. He didn't say anything else. He puts on his white button up and fixes his sleeves, rolling them up.
He was dressed quite nicely, but then again, my dad can be in a tutu and still look fabulous. I giggle at the thought and shaked my head. I should have dress up with him.. With the rest of the guys! That would be fun.
"Dad?"
"Yeah?"
"Can we go to Hottopic?" I asked him.
"Of course... You gonna buy something." I nod and smiled widely

. Operation Dress up has commenced.
