Unsung Heroes

Not a Chapter I WENT TO ANOTHER BVB SHOW (Re-upload) + public service announcement

Hey guys i'm reuploading this because i saw some typo stuff and it bugged me and wouldn't let me edit the chapter.

ANYWAYS!

I went to the Santa Ana BVB show! It was fantastic and if any of you went there you know exactly what I am talking about. I've been to the venue they performed at before, and it's a small club venue, and everyone was packed in like sardines. It got hot and sweaty and was as amazing as any other show.

The only thing I will say is that the crowd at this show was much better that House of Blues. House of Blues audience was mostly underage teens claiming band members that they were convinced would love and date them, or telling strangers (me and my friends) their incredibly tragic life stories and how they were molested/raped at 12 and that they self harm for attention or that the band saved them, as in literally.

I am not saying that what happened to them wasn't awful or tragic, because it is and they didn't deserve to have it happen to them, but when you tell me that you literally planned out losing your virginity EXACTLY how Andy stated he lost his in a Bryanstars interview, then it gets incredibly weird and uncomfortable. Don't tell some stranger in the audience of a concert what happened to you; tell a therapist or better yet, the police. It takes away from the concert for audience members who are there to listen to and enjoy the music and show.

That being said, I enjoyed the Santa Ana show more because the crowd didn't do that. We shared experiences at different shows or what we thought the band was going to do at this one. Or in my case, talk to the people next to me about how there were clearly minor groupies in skimpy outfits who clearly were here to try and get a band member to sleep with them. Fuck, there was a 16 year old girl by me in her bra to try with a sign pointing down to her chest to get CC's attention. But aside from that, there was an older fan next to me who made sure the girls trying to push to the front didn't push me into the barrier I was already squashed against. We laughed and talked before the show, and I even made some new friends.

If you are one of those girls who tried to get their attention that way, I'm sorry if you feel that I hurt your feelings, because I wasn't. The last thing I want is to hurt anyone's feelings, but you need to understand that the likelihood of any of the band seeing you in that way and bringing you backstage are next to none. If it were to happen, then fantastic and I'm happy for you. But most of them are in relationships that they are happy with, and even Ashley, the only single member, won't sleep with you if you're underage. Before bringing you backstage, he has security look at your ID and breathalyze you because he wants you to be legal and sober to give consent. You need to understand that he's a man in his thirties and will go out with and date women, not teenage girls. Hell, I'll be the first to admit that if I was asked backstage, I would probably say yes, so I'm not saying I'm any different, nor am I any better because I'm not, but I'm also not a minor. You throwing your boobs in their faces or showing up in booty shorts or begging them to sleep with you won't make it happen -- if anything, it'll creep them out. They don't like it when fans do that because it makes them uncomfortable if they touched you they could be called pedophiles even if it wasn't sexual, and they're in happy relationships.
Also, please don't hate on their girlfriends. Just because they're dating the guys doesn't make them horrible people, nor does it mean that they "stole" the guys from you. They weren't yours to begin with and if they make the guys happy, be happy for them, don't judge and hate on people you've never met, especially if they make someone you admire happy.
Also if you're wondering why Alice, Jinxx's girlfriend isn't in this story, it's because I didn't know Jinxx had a girlfriend when I started writing this story. He's a pretty private guy and I don't know how long they've been together, but he didn't really announce they were dating for a long time. If I had known, I would have included her in the story and maybe have had Maya date an OMC or something.
The guys have stated before that they'd rather fans respected them as people and didn't treat them like saviors. They're musicians doing what they love. If their music helped you through a difficult time, that's one thing, but when you go around saying they "saved your life" that's not only putting pressure on them, but you put them on a pedestal they don't want to be on. Despite their level of fame and success, just like any other celebrity, they're still people with lives and feelings and daily schedules and tasks they have to do like anyone else. They'd rather that if you met them that you said, "Hi, my name is ***** and I love your music, and helped me out when things were rough, can I get a picture?"
They love hearing about how you were able to work through your troubles and move past it stronger than before. But if you met them and said something about your horrible home life and them expected them to do something about it, not only will it not happen because it's not within their ability to do so, but you make them feel pressure in a way that they will not be comfortable with, because they can't do anything about it.

Also, sidebar, if you're one of those fans who when meeting the band you tell either CC or Andy that they shouldn't smoke... yeah they shouldn't, but you don't know them well enough to make those kinds of statements. If you were a close friend or a relative or a girlfriend or a sibling or something, you are more entitled to do so. But they don't know you, and you don't know them as well as you think you do.

Also, stop calling Jinxx Mama Jinxx that's what his mother is called, and stop sending Ash Hello Kitty stuff he's not into Hello Kitty (I KNOW I PUT THAT IN MY STORY I MADE A MISTAKE TOO) it's like when Andy stated he liked peanut butter it was a joke when Ashley wore the Hello Kitty stuff he doesn't actually like it, he got it as a joke and therefore wore it as a joke. A girl next to me threw a plush Hello Kitty doll onstage and Ashley picked it up and blankly stared at it, showed it to Andy and they talked about it, and then Ashley shoved it down his pants and threw it into the audience.

Not trying to be mean or offend anyone or hurt anyone's feelings. I am just speaking my mind on something that's been bothering me for a while, mostly because I have a friend who was assaulted both at Warped Tour and at the Santa Ana show by "fans". At Warped she was burned with a cigarette by some "fan" for "touching her man" and another "fan" recognized her at Santa Ana and slapped her and tried to steal her backpack.
I don't think any self respecting fan would treat another fan this way. We should be helping each other and enjoying the fact that we have a common interest, which is the band and rock and metal music. So please, respect the band and respect each other, because we're all human beings with feelings and emotions.

Thanks,

BlackIris

I write it out on Microsoft word and then copy and paste. Usually if I type it out directly it lags and refuses to let me edit it. When I write it out and copy and past, it shows paragraph breaks. Maybe it reads differently on other computers or something, but I have always been able to distinguish the paragraphs with my computer.

I don't know how it would work on a phone, but I figured out on my computer that I have to click the Enter key twice at the end of a paragraph to get it to space, because just indenting doesn't work on here.

@BlackIris
Im reading on my phone and there are no spaces between each of the paragraphs. It might justf be my phone

Thanks. I don't know what medium you're using to read my story, but on my computer it shows separate paragraphs. I don't indent as it takes forever to do and doesn't always read. This site doesn't always like to allow me to edit and upload the way I would in any other scenario.

This is a good story but you need to put spaces between the paragraphs otherwise its really hard to read as its just a giant block of text other then that I love the story. Its certainly and interesting read.
