It Just One Of Those Days.

She kept on smiling and humming along the pop songs that blared from the speakers. She was beautiful, but today, well this evening, she looked.. I don't have another word to describe her. I park In front of the restaurant, the vacant guy opened the door for her and helped her out. I hand him the keys and he nodded
. "Have a great evening."
"Thank you." She said. We enter the very fancy place. She stops walking.
"You okay?" I asked her.
"This looks very expensive." She says
. "Welcome, do you have a reservation sir?" The old guy said. "I do.. Under Coma." He looks at his book and looks at us. Maybe it was her piercings and my hair. He better not be judging, I put my hair in a ponytail and everything.
"Right this way." We follow him all the way to back, and Into a room. I take out the seat for Kenny, and she sits down.
"I must say.. You look very very beautiful today." I told her. "It's all too much for me. They overdid me."
"No.. I think all this fits you perfect." She blushes.
"Ready to order?" I nod.
"Give us the special of today." She looks at her menu.
"May you change the pork to chicken or meat please?"
"Sure Miss.. Anything else this evening?"
"Give me your best wine." I said. The waiter smiles and nods. "Il be right back with your orders." He leaves and later comes back with the wine. He serves me and Kenny, and places it in the little bucket in the middle.
"How you liking this?"
"You're overdoing it." She says, sipping her wine.
"It's an adult date."
"I'm not saying I hate it Christian.. It's just a lot... I've never been on a date."
"Sooo you've only dated but never went on a date." She nods. "That explains."
"I'm sorry I lied to you... I just thought it would be weird and I would just embarrass myself."
"But you don't... And didn't, there's always time for a first time." She smiles. We ate in peace, and then laughed. The way her eyes squinted as she smiles widely, and the way she hid her laugh was adorable. Her small dimples were exposed. "How old are you Kenny?"
"I just turned 21."
"I thought I was taking a minor on a date." "No... That's why I can drink now.."
"Have you had you're first drunk night?" She nods. "When?" "The day I found out one of my best friends committed suicide."
"Oh.." Damn. I thought it would be some fun time.
"Yeah.. I broke into the cabinet my old neighbor had and drank away... Woke up, and drank again.. I blacked out for two days."
"Wow...." She shrugs.
"Yeah, anyway.." She wipes her face. "I'm sorry.. I didn't know."
"It's okay, it still hurts. But you know, I learned how to move on. She wouldn't want me to be the little depressed girl I was back then."
"That's right...."
"Yeah..." She shifted uncomfortably.
"Let's get out of here?.. I have a special place for desert." She nods and I pay for our dinner. She wraps her arms around her. I place my jacket around her and she looks at me smiling.
"Thanks." I get my car back and I drive to a nearby Ice Cream Parlor
. "First a fancy place.. And then a ice cream shop.. This is awesome." She says, smiling. I open the door for her and we both enter the parlor.
"A banana split?"
"Yes! I love those!" She exclaims. Me and this girl have to much in common.
"A banana split with vanilla, cookies and cream and strawberry." The girl nods and started the order. We got sit down, and she rollerblades our way
. "Enjoy." Kenny smiles and looks at me.
"Well, that was cool." She picks up a spoon and takes a spoonful of cookies and cream ice cream, and some whip cream. She puts it in her mouth and smiles. I look at her. "What?" She says, giggling.
"You're adorable." She blushes. We ate our desert, and made jokes. There was some ice cream left. She gets a spoonful and puts more sprinkles.
"Open." I open my mouth and she puts the cold food in my mouth. She smiles and puts her spoon down. I grab a spoonful of strawberry ice cream, and out a gummy shark on top.
"Open." She leans forward and I place it in her mouth. She smiles, as she chewed. I don't know what I got myself into... But this girl is going to be the death of me.
