It Just One Of Those Days.

I walked through the stores, getting ready for the arrival of my kids. I was ready for sleepless nights and the laughter of the kids, oh I hope they're okay in there. I look at the cribs and felt a sharp pain on my lower back, I grip on the crib tighter, and I started to sweat. I felt my legs go weak, and then my pants getting wet.
"Miss! Are you okay?" I look at the worker and looked down at my puddle. "Oh! Hold on miss." He reaches for a nearby customer service phone and the p.a. Goes off. "We need an ambulance at the crib section, I repeat, call an ambulance;" he rushes towards me and sits me on a wheelchair they had gotten towards us and they start wheeling me to the outside of the store. The ambulance came around 15 minutes later and the contractions were killing me. They rushed me inside the E.R. And the doctor was already waiting for me.
"Just a few more inches." He said, just as another contraction kicked in.
"CHRISTIAN!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs as the pained expanded. The nurse went through my bag and got my phone. She steps out and then comes inside.
"He's coming sweetie." What seemed like forever, the door opens, and he was standing with his eyes unaware of what do to. He rushes towards me and grabs my hand.
"How long?" He asked.
"She's ready to push." The doctor said. The nurses helped me get my legs in position, and they put a blue curtain to separate the view of the doctor. A nurse was right behind me.
"He needs scrubs." She said, as a nurse rushes outside, and coming back with a blue package. Cc puta in on quickly and was by my side once more. He gets hold of me hand.
"Okay, Kenny.. At the count of three you push okay?" I nod. "One, two... Push!" I let out a yell as I pushed, a pain shooting through my body, I hit my head on the pillow and catch my breath. "You're doing great, push once more." He counts once more, and I push with all my might. CC squeezed my hand, as I let out another piercing yell. God dammit, no more kids for me. No more. "I see the head... Once more." I take a few deep breaths, and push and felt a small relief as I hear a pop and then a cry. CC looks at me with tears in his eyes.
"Baby boy." The nurse said. She hands him over to another nurse and they wash my son out.
"I see the other baby... Push Kenny." I take one big breath and pushed, wanting this horrible pain to go away. "One more." I look at Christian and his eyes were filled with excitement. He looks at me and kisses my forehead. I push and that's when I hear another pop and then a piercing cry. Christian kisses my lips and the nurse hands him our son, he was sleeping, and wrapped in a blue blanket. She cleaned my sweat away and gives me a smile.
"Congrats on your twins." I mumble a small thank you, and I was showered with tiredness.
"Baby girl." Another nurse says, giving me my daughter, wrapped in a blush pink blanket. I kiss her forehead and she lets out a yawn. I smile and her breathing slowed down as she fell fast asleep. I look at CC who was staring at our daughter.
Our creations.
Our creations of love, of that love that lived inside of the both of us, but we didn't want to accept it. No, the love I didn't want to accept, but now as I see this man holding our son, maybe I can give him another shot.
"We need to go check them up. Have you thought of names?" I look at CC as he looks at me. To be honest, we never talked about names. We were so busy ignoring each other we didn't discuss the most important topic.
"Brenda Ivy." Cc said, and I smiled at him. Brenda Ivy Coma. It was beautiful. I thought of a boy name, but I was blank then it hit me.
"Brandon Ryder." Brandon Ryder Coma. The nurse smiles and writes down the names. Cc looks at me kisses my forehead.
"Thank you." He whispered. "I'm sorry."
"No, I'm sorry, and I think I'm willing to give you another chance." With that, his lips connected with mine, and I knew I made the right choice,
