Goodbye Agony
Seeing her
Andy's point of view
"Mom! I'm going to Ashley's!" i shouted to my mom while slipping on my big leather winter boots.
"That's fine! There's ice on the road be careful!"
i headed out the door and opened the passenger door to my car. i tossed a backpack i had packed in and shut the door. while i was walking over to the driver's seat, i felt cold little snowflakes hit my face. i looked up into the sky to see the snow falling gently from the sky. when i look down, i see a girl in the house that had been for sale for about a week. she was very pretty even though i could only see a distorted image of her through the 2nd story window she was looking out of, i could see her bright hair that was blue and green with a hint of red? orange? i couldn't tell. i smiled at her. she appeared like such a happy person, maybe when i meet her we will become friends. i open the front door to my car and look back one more time at the girl, but she looks paniced and she grabs the curtain and yanks it halfway closed and whips around, her beautiful blue and green sea of hair flying behind her. I watch intently praying and hoping that shes okay i've seen those faces before in some of the people i used to know, the face of panic and cowering. Then, i see what i prayed not to happen, a man - most likely her father - yells at the girl i can hear the muffled yells through the house, disturbing the quiet ohio neighborhood. i wasnt gonna let her get yelled at not when so many of the people i knew had been abuse victims never would i let that happen.
i slam my car door shut and run across the road to the lawn of this girl's house. i bang on the door, hard. i wait a few seconds. no answer. i bang again harder. still no answer i try the door knob it twists open and i step in. ha, can't charge forcing and entering if the door was unlocked and i knocked twice. i found the staircase and ran up taking two steps at a time.
"You little bitch don't fight back you'll get it worse!" i heard the man yell. this only made me move faster. I heard a sharp cry from what i think was the girl from earlier, but it could have been anyone. racing down the hall i saw one picture frame on the floor the broken glass shattered around it i only caught a glimpse, but it was a little brunette girl and what must have been her mother, but there was i cigarette burn through her face. I was only i few paces away from the door and i didn't bother with the knob i assumed it was locked.
I walked in to a horrific sight, the beautiful, tiny girl was cornered by a man that was tall but i still toward over him. he hadn't done physical labor in years and i could tell he was big and dirty and i wanted him away from the beautiful little creature that he was still screaming profanities at. Two strides from the door to the corner where they stood i could smell the alcohol on him two more strides and it was all over for him. i grabbed the back of his disgusting shirt and yanked him back he stumbled and would've fallen if i wasn't still holding his shirt.
"Who The Fuck, Do You Think You Are?" i asked him shoving across the room from the girl. i stood in the space between them. i wasn't about to give up on her.
