SKYLAR’S POV

I walked into Mr.Rinker’s room and he wasn’t even in there so I could redo the test. Haha, that fucktard. I chuckled and grabbed my bag. Oh well, now I can go spend more time with Andrew at lunch. I walked into the lunch room to see something I could kill. Amanda, the bitch, was on Andrew’s lap, practically inhaling him.

What.

The.

Fuck.

I dropped down my bag in astonishment. I could feel my face heating up again. No. My whole body heating up. And I felt my heart coming up through my throat and it was shattering inside me.

Suddenly I saw Andrew pull away from Amanda, he must have seen me.

“I swear, it’s not what it looks li-“ He started to say.

“Fuck you, Andrew!” I yelled, I didn’t want to hear his bullshit explanation. I turned around and started to walk out of the school. I couldn’t even stand to be in the same school with him right now.

“Skylar! I swear to god it’s not what it looks like!” I heard him yell as he pulled at my shoulder.
All the sudden I could feel the word vomit starting to pour out.

“And I thought I loved you.” At the word loved I felt my eyes tearing up and I turned around and ran out of the school.

I ran back to the adoption home. Right now all I wanted was to be curled up in my mother’s arms and with Caleb too and maybe even my dad if he was sober at the moment. I went into my room and slammed the door shut, thank god the bitch that shared the room with me was at school and not here to see me like this. Like… Like I’m weak. Suddenly I realized. I’m being fucking weak. If Andrew was going to play the badboy asshole game so could I. I got up and dried my eyes, went into the mirror and looked at the mascara running down my ugly face.

“Fuck you.” I mumbled to myself.

I walked into the small bathroom and washed off my face. I’m done. I grabbed my blade from my bag the lady had packed from my old house. Now that I think about it Caleb probably packed my bag or else I wouldn’t have my blade right now. I walked back into the bedroom and sat on my bed then brought the cold blade to my wrist. One cut. Two cuts. Three cuts. Four. I know, it’s not the answer, but right now it feels like it is. Finally I stopped at 33 deep cuts. Damn it, this hurt, yet I also felt numb. I shoved the blade under my mattress quickly and grabbed a small towel to cover the blood on my wrists and I fell asleep like that. Fuck. This.

I felt my shoulders being shaken.

“What the fuck?!” I yelled startled.

“Sorry… but it’s time for dinner, I thought you should get up…” She said hesitantly.

I saw it was obviously the girl that shared the room with me. She had blonde hair, brown eyes, and she looked like a fairy. Very pretty. I thought she would be a huge bitch, why the hell was she being nice to me?

“T-Thanks… Just a question, why are you helping me?” I said and sat up.

“You need food, why wouldn’t I help you?” She asked innocently.

I fell back when I tried to sit up. Fuck, my wrist hurt.

“Shit! Your wrist! Let me help you!” She said and walked into the bathroom and came back with a damp towel.

“Thank you… so much. Please don’t tell anyone.” I said quietly as she helped me.

“I won’t.” She responded as she finished up, then the room went dead silent.

“I.. I uhm saw what happened at lunch today, you okay?” She whispered almost.

“No. But thanks…” I said hesitantly.

“We don’t have to talk about it.” She smiled.

“Thank you.” I said and stood up as she set the rag down.

“You need to eat… Let’s go.” She said with a friendly smile and I nodded.
