Adopting
SKYLAR’S POV
“And you’ll follow me, okay?” She said nicely as she opened the doors.
“Where’s Caleb?” I asked.
“Caleb?” Obviously she had forgotten.
“My brother, you dumb fuck!” I said, angered. I usually wouldn’t act this way but I’ve been through a lot.
“Oh. Your brother should be here soon I believe, the cop is getting all of your personal items from your home right now along with your brother’s.” She stated.
“Fine.” I mumbled.
Next I followed her up to a big staircase and into a room with two beds, one side of the room had nothing in it and the other side of the room obviously belonged to a pink and frilly girl. Fuck.
“Skylar?” I heard someone yell from downstairs.
“Caleb!” I exclaimed.
I pushed past the lady and ran down stairs. I flew my arms around Caleb and hugged him tightly, my tears soaking into his white shirt.
“Caleb, he’s gone.” I cried.
“I know… But we have to make the best of it, okay? Don’t let this get in your way, keep reaching for your dreams, hun.” He said with a fake smile. He was obviously trying to make me feel better, and it did a little bit but I still felt a bit numb.
“Skylar! Upstairs! Now!” The lady yelled from my room. I knew this was going to be bad already.
I hugged Caleb for a minute longer and let go of him with great hesitation, then spun around and headed back up to my room.
“I-I’m sorry.” I mumbled to the lady.
“I’ll bring your things up, okay?” She said.
“Sure.” I replied.
She walked out of my room and I sat down on the mattress and looked around. I’m numb. How could this even happen? Why did this even happen? Soon the lady came in with two bags, my stuff.
“Here, start to getting unpacked.” She said and left again.
I put up a Kiss poster, an Alkaline Trio poster, and I made my bed. Should be okay for the night. I stuffed the rest of my things under my bed and laid down. I needed to think.
I heard a knock at the door. What the hell? Where am I? Oh yeah… I got up sleepily and shuffled over to the door and opened it.
“Whatdya want?” I yawned.
“Some people are here to adopt. Get dressed and come downstairs.” She sighed.
“Whatever.” I said.
I closed the door and slipped out of my pajamas and got into my black ripped skinny jeans and my black tank top with a red flannel shirt over it and my Kiss beanie and my combat boots. Okay. Sounds good. I walked downstairs and waited in a line for them to call me in for the interview, it was almost my turn when the lady came out of the room with Caleb and the new parents.
“You all can go back to your rooms, Caleb is being adopted!” She said cheerily.
“What?!” I started to panic. Caleb and Andrew were the only people had left, Andrew doesn’t even live by me anymore and now Caleb was getting adopted?! What the hell?! No! This can’t happen! I lunged forward and hugged onto Caleb as tight as possible.
“Caleb, don’t leave me, please!” I cried.
“I have no choice! I want to stay too!” I could see fear in his eyes as well.
The new parents ripped me off of Caleb and started quickly shoving him out of the door and into their car.
“Caleb!” I screamed.
The lady came up behind me again and brought me to my room with me crying for my brother the whole entire time.
“You have to get ready for school.” She muttered and closed the door behind her.
School… school! I get to see Andrew!! School! I grabbed my bag quickly and ran downstairs.
“Have to go to school, bye!” I said and ran out quickly to my normal bus stop. I waited forever, but the bus finally got there. Thank. Fucking. God.
I got off the bus that arrived at school and immediately saw Andrew sitting on the front steps, he looked depressed.

So her brother got adopted and now she's even more torn ;-; But she still had Andrew... But only at school... hm. Whale what are you guys finkinnnnnn? cxSorry, I would have updated yesterday but I've been taking a stronger dose of meds and you wouldn't believe how tired they make me, I fell asleep at like 7 last night XD And I took naps in between the day haha
