Forever Us

I woke up and sat up, looking down to see I had on a black silky dress stained with blood. What? Why the fuck was I wearing a dress? I looked around and I guess Amber hadn’t gotten back yet. Oh well, at least it was my birthday already. Everything seemed… ominous. I got out of bed and it was unusually quiet so I walked over and opened the door to the hallway I looked out to see who I thought I would never see again. My jaw dropped to the floor and I stared for a long moment, then I started running.

“Caleb!” I screamed and flew into his warm, comforting arms.

“Hey, Sky.” He said with a smile.

“Caleb! I thought….I thought you were dead! I missed you so much!” I yelled and buried my head into his chest.

“It’s okay, Sky… I’m here.” He said soothingly.

“I love you.” I sighed.

“I love you too, but… There’s something you need to do for me.” He said hesitantly.

I pulled away and looked at him. What the hell did he mean?

“Come here, I’ll show you.” He said and took my hand.

Caleb lead me into a small room with nothing in it but a chair and a rope sitting on the chair and a ceiling fan.

“W-What do you want?” This wasn’t real…

“Skylar, you have to do it. To be with me,” Suddenly my mom appeared right behind him. “to be with mom.”.

“Mom!” I yelled and ran up to hug her too.

“Skylar, you want to be with me, don’t you?” My mom said in her soft tone.

“Yes, but-“ I started.

“Then you have to do it, sweety.” She interrupted.

“Please, Sky, please…” Caleb begged.

I thought long and hard about what I was going to do, then I let go of my mom and looked Caleb in the eyes.

“Is there any other way to go?” I asked quietly.

“Sure, hun.” He said and he quickly pulled out a gun out of his jacket.

“Can you do it, please?” I asked with hesitation.

“Yeah.” He barely said.

“You ready?” My mom asked.

“Yes.” I said and bent down with my back towards them so I wouldn’t have to see it.

“1…” Caleb started off.

“2…” My mother joined in.

“…3.” I whispered to myself as a tear fell down my face. Suddenly I felt something start to slowly pierce through my back and I screamed out in pain and agony.

“Skylar!” I heard a deep voice yell and I was being shook awake.

“What?!” I yelled and sprung awake.

“Skylar, calm down, it’s me.” I heard someone say and I looked behind me to see Andrew sitting on my bed, trying to comfort me.
