Forever Us

“W-What?” I said and I felt a tear fall slowly down my face.


Caleb died on November 3rd, at 17 years old in my arms. The last words I said to him were

“I love you, and I always will, never give up and kick ass in heaven, okay?” I said with tears silently streaming down my face and soaking his hospital gown.

“I will. And please, no matter what you do, never make giving up any of your options.” He said with a small grin as I watched the springy light slowly fall out of his eyes.

“Caleb…” I wimpered. I knew he was gone, I just didn’t want to admit it to myself. I looked up from Caleb to see Andrew standing there with his eyes red and he was softly wining too. Suddenly my sadness turned into something I thought I could never feel towards Andrew before. Anger.

“You…” I said and stood up.

“Skylar, I’m sorry.” He cried.

“You did this!” I barked.

“I know, don’t you think I feel shitty enough for it already?!” He yelled back.

“Get out!” I hissed.

“Sky!” He cried back.

“Out!” I screamed and he quickly ran out.



I only saw Andrew in the hallways after that. I couldn’t face him.
