God damn I was nervous.

“Andrew, what if they don’t like it?” I said, my voice hitching.

“They’ll love it, Sky.” He said with a comforting smile.

“Ugh, fine.” I shivered and we walked into the pizza parlor.

I looked around and immediately saw Caleb sitting there, waiting. God, there were a lot of people here, but at least I could see him.

“Caleb!” I yelled and ran over to hug him.

I wrapped my arms around him and I could smell beer on him already. Really, Caleb? At only 5:00?

“Caleb… are you drunk?” I hissed at him, I hated when he was drunk, especially when he was drunk and driving.

“No. I’m fine.” He smiled.

“Whatever.” I said and turned around and grabbed my guitar from Andrew.

Rose. Her name was Rose. I named my guitar that because she was partially made of rose wood, she was beautiful, my mother gave her to me just before she had died. She was a transfer, meaning she could transfer from electric to acoustic if I plugged her in, perfect because all the songs had different styles.

Andrew and I got up onto the small podium and he stepped up to the mic.

“Hi.” He smiled.

“We’re going to play Rebel Love Song first, I wrote it for Sky.” He continued and I blushed and sat down with Rose and plugged her in. I looked over at Andrew and he nodded at me, and I started playing.

This is a rebel love song” Andrew sang out and he caught his breath. At that moment I knew Andrew could be so much more, with his voice, with everything.

“Andrew… We did it!” I said and put my guitar down, getting up and hugging Andrew.

“We did it!” He repeated and hugged me back.

We played the rest of the night and Andrew sang his heart out, and I didn’t know my fingers could hurt this much from playing. We had the whole crowd standing up and cheering by the last song, Lost It All. I ran out and hugged Caleb with tears slightly forming, I was just so damn proud.

Caleb and Andrew spent another hour here, drinking while I talked with them, by now they were getting kind of drunk, but I was still just so happy from the gig.
