"SUGAR YOU FORGOT ABOUT THE DERBY!!" Foam yells from down stairs and I jump out of Ashley's grasp. "EMERALD THE FUCK HOW DID I FORGET!!" I scream scrabbling to my closet. I manage to change into my shorts, lace tights, and belly shirt. I grab my skates and fingerless leather gloves. "Where are you going?" Ashley asks as I scramble down the stairs. "Long story, but I have to go to my derby. Emerald knows where. Come with her if you want to watch." I almost slur the words together. He nods and I rush out the door.

I stand itching to be on the floor, the crowd roaring, my team mates rearing to go, this it. The national championship. "THIS IS IT!! THE LAST SHOT AT THE TROPHY!! WINNING TEAM GETS BRAGGING RIGHTS!" The annoucers shouts into the mic as we take our places. I scan the crowd looking for the guys and the girls but I cant see them. Oh well gonna make this count...
