The boy in the house opposite mine
I would die for you
"Your father swallowed a piece of glass that had fallen into his beer bottle." My mother explains to me the next morning. "You take the day off today. You had a stressful night."
"Okay, thanks. Bye." I hang up and fall asleep.
I wake up to a knock on the door. I run downstairs still wearing my pj's. I open the door to see Andy standing there. My hand begins to shake as his lips stretch to a smile.
"Sh-Shouldn't you be in school?" I stutter playing with the door handle.
"Shouldn't you?" He grins.
"Come in." I step aside to give him space to move past. He looks around as I lead him into the kitchen. "I don't wanna talk about last night" Andy nods.
"I heard you!" He blurts out. "Last night, I mean. We both forgot to close the windows."
"Wait..."I get a little panicky. "You heard my song?"
"Your song?" He smiles. "It's amazing, Em."
"Really?" I smile.
"Yup." He looks away as if he's trying to remember something. "Did you mean it?"
"What?" He looks serious.
" After some time you see no point in breathing?" He grabs my hand and pulls me closer. I look at the ground. "Emma..."
He looks disappointed. I feel tears fill my eyes. I throw my arms around him. He puts his hand on my head and pushes it closer to his chest.
"Don't." He whispers. "You're beautiful Emma. Just don't."
I fall to my knees but Andy doesn't let go. He kneels with me.
"You're my best friend, Emma. If I ever let anything happen to you, I would crumble. I'd lose it. I couldn't live without you. I need you, Emma Wilks." He pauses for a moment.
"I would die for you"
