Lost in Time

From the Adventures of Captain Cold...

Andy’s POV (haha bet you didn’t see that coming)

Chance went behind the camera once again to shoot another take. One of us keeps laughing once I get one or two words out, so all of the previous takes aren’t good to use.

Once he got the camera set up, Chance counted down with his fingers for me to let me know when to start. Three, two, one. During these seconds, I think I hear something above me, but I ignored it thinking its nothing.
“I’m Lightning Thunderstein! I’m a Jewish man who likes to rock and roll! Ugh!” I said in my Lightning Thunderstein voice.
Next thing I know, something hit me from above and I was on the ground. Glancing upward, I saw a light-skinned girl that looked about my age with black hair that was everywhere on top of me holding a book that looked like a journal of some sort.

“And I’m Stormra Thunderstein! A Jewish woman who loves to annoy her brother as well as rock and roll! Ugh!” The girl said in a voice similar to my own Lightning Thunderstein voice.

Chance ran over after turning off the camera. “Who the hell are you? How did you get here?” he said trying not to let off how freaked out he was not even caring that I was on the ground still.

“Thanks for helping me,” I called up sarcastically from the floor.

“Oh, sorry!” The girl quickly got off of me, “I forgot I was still on top of you.”
I got up slowly saying, “Nah, it’s fine. So, girl who fell from nowhere, tell me your name, or do you want me to just call you Nowhere Girl?”

She laughed and said, “My name’s Stormra Trimen and I didn’t think this was how you were going to meet me for the first time Andy, but you’re just going to have to deal with it.”

Flabbergasted I replayed what she said in my head once again to make sure I heard her correctly before saying, “How do you know my name?”

“What I want to know is how the hell you did a Thunderstein voice,” Chance stated to remind us that he was still there.

“I’ll answer his question first because it’s the simpler of the two to answer,” Stormra said messing with her hair, “Voice manipulation. I’ve been practicing that for years. It makes things like doing a Thunderstein voice easy.”

“And my question?” I threw out there hoping she would actual answer the question because the way she was acting made it seem like she didn’t want to answer the question.

Stormra’s POV

I sighed and said hoping they would believe me, they should considering I just landed on Andy from a hole in time on the ceiling that is now gone, “You didn’t give me a last name, but I met you about an hour ago in a time that I don’t know because I can’t control where the hell I’m landing yet.”

“So,” Andy started his blue eyes doubtful for a moment, “you came from the future?”

“I think so,” I said with a sigh, “It’s really confusing. I’ve been a time-traveler for less than a day now, so I still don’t have a lot of answers.”

Chance raised his hands up in what looked like relief, “Thank you for something that makes somewhat sense since you just came from ceiling basically.”

I couldn’t help but laugh, “Pleasure to be of service.”

“If you’re from the future, why are you here of all places?” Andy asked me.

It seemed like he was looking for answer that I didn’t have, so I said, “I have no fucking idea. By the way, where am I?”

“Cincinnati, Ohio, and the year is 2006,” Andy told me.

“Okay then, I’m not too far from where I started then,” I said with a grin.

“Where did you start?” Chance asked probably curious because I made the freaking comment.

“2009, I’m getting closer to home,” I told him, “I was fine this morning. Everything went to hell once the afternoon came rolling around and I started working on some things around the house.” I felt my stomach start to grumble reminding I haven’t eaten since this morning. “Do you guys have any food?”

Andy smiled, “Yeah, the kitchen is over here. We don’t have much, but if you can find something you can have it,” he said gesturing for me to follow him. I grabbed the book off the ground before following him with Chance not far behind me.

“Thanks. I haven’t eaten since this morning,” I said spotting some bread. I decided to make myself some toast, and I found a can of Coke in the fridge. While the toast toasted, I decided to read more of the book I apparently wrote.
Okay, so by now you’ve probably met Chance and Andy. Do you remember those memories that came to you before you blacked out earlier today? Close your eyes and sort through them everything will become mostly clear in a second.

Closing my eyes, I did as I told myself and focused on the memories I’ve been blocking from my mind since this all started. Feeling the pair watch me as I sorted through the new thoughts and facts, I opened my eyes shocked. I finally figured out my purpose for traveling time. I’m still not completely sure whether the reason is good or bad though. That’s when my toast popped up.

Snapping my book shut, I sat down with my food. Andy watched me eat for a moment before saying, “You really don’t have a clue why you came here?”

After finishing my toast I said, “Every time-traveler is born with an event in time to make sure goes the way it’s suppose to. Andy, in the future, your band is going to be very influential. I’m just here make sure no one screws anything up so bad it can’t be fixed.”

“I thought you said you didn’t know anything!” Andy said raising his voice a little looking suspicious for maybe a moment or two realizing what he what doing and calmed down.

“Don’t look at me like that. I just figured this out a second ago,” I told him.

“Stormra, you need to come with me now,” a voice said from the entrance to the kitchen.

“Great!” Chance said slightly annoyed, “More time people!”

I had turned in my chair to see who it was. The woman looked about in her forties and had straight black hair that went down to her butt. It didn’t take me long to guess who this was because when I looked at her eyes I noticed they were the same color as mine. “Alright Izzy, I’m coming,” I stated standing up and grabbing my unopened soda and the book from the table.

Taking Izzy’s outstretched hand; I looked at the two guys in front of me and said, “Bye Chance! It was nice to meet you! Andy, I’ll see you around, hopefully, sooner than you think.” Then we disappeared into time, leaving the two confused wondering what the hell just happened.

Notes

The author apologizes for the three month wait for a chapter. Life was affecting the author and she couldn't find the urge to write anything worth putting together for the chapter until today. She also apologies for the spacing problems with this chapter on a few of the paragraphs. The site was being a bitch and wouldn't let her fix it without stuff getting deleted. The author has been wondering why she is referring to herself in the third person, and she feels the need to thank her one friend who has been patient enough to wait for this chapter who doesn't need to be named because the friend knows who she is. Thank you.
