Lost it all.

beep.


I slowly begin to blink my eyes open, just to be surrounded by white walls. I look around and yawn. I'm so tired.
"Sammy?" I look at the person and smile.
"Hey CC." He smiles and moves my hair from my face.
"I'm so glad you're okay." I frown. "We were worried sick. Don't ever do that again okay? I... I mean, we can't bear to lose you."
"I'm sorry." I whispered.
"It's okay." He kisses my forehead.
"We're here for you." He says, smoothing my dirty blonde hair out of my face.
"My head hurts." I whine.
"I'll call the doctor... Can you stay alone for a while?" I shake my head. "Okay... Wait." He presses the red button by my bed.
"Yes?"
"Samantha Zera is awake, can we have some painkillers."
"I'll be right up dear."
"Thanks... All done." He said and sat down next to me. I stare into his eyes, and notice how dark his eye bags were. He seemed super tired.
"How long have you slept?"
"An hour or two.. I had to keep my eye on you."
"You should sleep.. I'll help you."
"That's not..." He yawns. "Necessary."
"Put your head down." He shakes his head. I look at him and he smiles, then he lays down his head, his eyes looking into mine. I put my hand on his head and start to smooth his hair. He closes his eyes and smiles.
"That feels great." He mumbled. I keep on doing and untangled his hair. "Are you trying to make me go..." He smiles and his breathing slows down. I smile and continued to smooth his hair. The bag under his eyes were somewhat visible as he slept, like touring almost every year isn't enough for him.
"Sweetie.. I have your... Oh." I look at the nurse and she smiles. "He's a great guy." She says... Injecting some liquid in a pouch.
"I know.. He's a lot to ask for."
"Honey, I was like that with my husband. And trust me I enjoyed every moment I spent with him."
"But he ain't even mine." I said as I looked at his relaxed face. "You keep saying that to yourself baby doll. I'm glad you're awake, he spent hours crying, and so did his family. Strange family he has."
"Yeah."
"He's a good kid, didn't sleep for one minute until he heard some news on you. He well deserves to have rest." She smiles at me. "Enjoy." Was all she said before exiting the room.
