Cross your heart

I woke up by the shining light of the sun and I smiled to the new day. But my smile faded when I noticed Andy wasn’t there. He stayed over and I guess I fell asleep. And he left…

“Get your ass over here,” Vicky demands. She stood at my room’s door and pretty much laughed. “Alright, alright… are you going to stay in town for really long?” I asked. Vick nodded and threw me some clothes, then waited in the hall for me to get dressed.

She drove me to school and I had to go to class again… I got bored of school… It’s so annoying, right?

Charlie was walking down the hall with Alec and I waved at her, but she didn’t notice me. I continued my way to my locker and saw LOTS of papers on it. And it all said: emo, fag, stupid, weird etc…

I heard people laughing behind me and… it kinda hurt me… somehow…

“Good job Andy! Christina, didn’t Andy decorate your locker quite great?” Marianne asked. She’s one of the most popular gals on school. And she’s the cheerleading captain and she hangs out with Andy and… did you know she seduced him once and they almost got in bed doing IT?

I tore that away and got my books out, later looked at Andy and his eyes were full of sadness. So were mine. I ran away to class and luckily, I escaped even more drama to happen.

Charlie entered the classroom and she sat beside me, giving me a hug. “What’s wrong?” I didn’t answer. “Hey, what happened? C’mon, tell me,” she begged. “You didn’t see me when I came to school and my locker was totally decorated…”

She didn’t say anything. Charlie’s face saddened and my eyes focused on the blackboard. I did understand that Andy will have to hurt me, but I just have to bare it up. I know he’ll hit me today. I know. Or maybe it's just a thought.....

~after school~

I left Charlie with Alec with their love stuff while I ran behind the school and by my surprise, I saw a guy whose name is Kevin… oh great…

“Hey Christina,” he greeted. I waved at him and walked pass, only being caught by his hand on my wrist. “I need you to come with me. The wedding dress needs to fit you. So come on.” Are we really talking about marriage now? Really? “Leave me alone you pervert. Why do you even want me?” I snap back.

He laughed and got closer to me. “Brigit just had to get rid of you. And I am not spending my dollars for nothing. I paid very good for you and I expect you to be a good girl.” Ts, right… “Let me go! You’re hurting me!” I yelp. His grip became tighter and it was really hurting me… “I will be doing more of that and on your body. It won’t be considered as rape, because we’ll be married already.”

I tried to fight back. I kicked him, tried to release myself from his grip but no use. He had been dragging me and I fought back. Thankfully, my prince in his shining armor came.

“Hey! Let her go you freak!” I heard someone yell. We both turned into the same direction and saw Andy running towards me with anger in his eyes. “LET HER GO!” And he punched him. I was in tears and I ran into Andy’s embrace quickly. “Are you ok?” he asked. I nodded. Kevin got up from the floor and Andy pushed me behind him. Soon, Kevin punched Andy really bad and he landed on the floor. They kept fighting until Kevin’s dad called and he had to go. “You ran away with this, but next time you’re dead,” he warned and left Andy on the floor. I ran to Andy and tried to help him up. “Andy please say you’re ok…” He whimpered and I kissed his forehead in tears. “Come on, let’s get you up…”

I got him to my car quickly and drove to my house. Thankfully nobody was home. I placed him on my bed and tried to make him comfortable. His face had bruises and blood. “Hold still, don’t move…” I whisper. I clean his face and add on the plasters and all. “Thank you,” he whispers. I smiled and kissed the top of his head. I wanted to go to the kitchen but he caught my wrist softly. “What is it Andy?” He showed me to sit next to him and I did. “I’m sorry about what I did earlier… I hope I didn’t hurt your feelings too much… You know I had to do it one way or another. I spared you from new hits, since I know you got enough yesterday…”

“Don’t worry, now that your sweet side is here, it doesn’t matter. I am so happy you’re ok and I love you,” I say, kissing his nose. He asked: “Was that Kevin? What did he want?”

My eyes welled up but I didn’t cry. It would be too much for him. “He wanted to drag me away to the dress fitting… the wedding is next month… dad doesn’t know. He left for work and Brigit is such a bitch… she really can’t stand me…”

I laid next to him and cuddled to his chest. “Promise me you’re going to be ok… And promise me you won’t get in fights just because of me, got it?” I asked. He smirked and shook his head. “No way… you are mine. You are bounded to me, am I right?” Wait, when did that happen? “You’re right… I’m only yours…”

“Now stop worrying about me. You should worry how to get rid of Kevin. I’m not letting him take you away from ME. I don’t give what’s mine,” he said in the famous deep tone.

“I get it…”
