Flashback to 6th grade~Aubrees POV
I had just walked in the door with my brother Percy when I heard yelling coming from the kitchen. As soon as I walked in, I could smell beer. Great, dad was drinking again. I heard moms screams and I turned around to leave when he started talking to me. "Aubree Johnson! Where the hell do you thing you're going?! Get the fuck over here! NOWW!" I braced myself for what was about to come. I saw mom laying on the floor when I walked into the kitchen. He reached across to slap me, and I closed my eyes, waiting for the sting. It never came. I looked up in time to see dads fist in my face. I blacked out and dropped to the floor.

I woke up a few hours later. I was in my bed, with Luke standing next to me, a worried look on his face. "What?" I asked. "Mom's still out and dad left. Andy kept calling you so I told him to come over" he said.
I saw my best friend in to doorway. Luke walked out and Andy walked in. "You look like shit Aubree" "Yeah... Dad had another episode tonight. I'm really worried about mom, she hasn't been herself lately. I've missed you so much!!" He went on a trip with his mom last week and just got back. I got up and gave him a hug. "I've missed you too! I brought you something.." He reached in his pocket and pulled out a signed Three Days Grace CD. "Oh my god, ANdy! You really didn't have to!" I saw the look on his face. The look where he was about to tell me something i wouldn't like. "We need to talk about something"

Oh shit. "Okayyy... Go ahead.." "My dad got arrested last month and that was why mom and i went on that trip. She was talking to me on the ride home and she told me we were moving. She said that she already bought the house. We're moving next weekend." He started crying. His dad was an asshole too. I guess he finally got throw in jail. But he was moving??

And and I had been through everything together. He was my best friend. The only one I had, really, besides my brothers. But in only a week, he would be out of my life. "We'll visit each other right?" i said. "Obviously! I just don't want to lose you, Bree! I can't lose you!" We just sat there holding each other for a while until Percy walked in. "Dude whats wrong with you?" "Pers, Andys moving next weekend!" i sobbed.

That when we heard the scream. All three of us sprinted to my mothers room, where Luke was screaming his lungs out. In his arms was our mother, bloody and limp. I can't believe this. My best friends moving, and my mother just stuck a knife through her heart. I couldn't take this anymore... I ran to my room and locked myself in. I opened the drawer and pulled out a blade. I started cutting and I couldn't stop.
