Chapter 16 ~ Making Amends
~Jinxx's POV~
I'd been awake most of the night. Just knowing she was in the same room unsettled me, she seemed to really hate me. I'd had my eyes open and on her when she'd been sat with the brunette and Ashley doing shots. I'd watched CC whisper into her hair and thought that should be me. I'd also watched him with his arm round her as he took a selfie then instagramed it with the caption: Look who's alive and well! ;) before they'd all passed out this was. I bet she wouldn't remember it all though, she'd just wake up in her top and her panties and laugh. She was a reckless child. Finally when I did wake up it wasn't a pleasant wake up call because CC was shouting at Jake and Ashley was laughing. Allie was nowhere to be seen.
"Morning man!" Jake laughed
"You're fuckin' gross dude!" CC grinned, clearly over whatever had happened.
"We have sound check soon." Jake said.
"Sound check your ass" Ashley chuckled.
I stood up just as Allie was walking back in. She looked upset and worried and like I'd thought, was completely oblivious to the fact she didn't have pants on.
"What's wrong Allie? I asked it was almost reflex.
Looking up at me like she did that night she stuttered.
"It's Juliet..." Her hands knotted "She's passed out in the toilet and I can't find Andy"
All in one time slowed. Jake rushed to the bathroom with Allie to help Julie., CC, Ash and I ran to find Andy, our tour manager or Jesse. It felt like in one simple sentance, ice cold water had been thrown over us washing us of out hangovers.
~Flashback~
Allie held on to me for dear life as I soothed her and stroked her hair, she whimpered against me her grip tight on me.
"It's okay... I've got you" I said holding her tight. What was it about this girl, her beauty? her smile? her personality? All I know is I couldn't leave her.
"J-J-Jinxx" she whispered so quietly I almost missed her. She was shivering vividly against my chest "I'm s-s-s-orry" looking up at me, her eyes glowing like crystals as tears shattered down her cheeks.
"Don't love, just don't" I hushed, putting my finger on her soft, damp lips. I took off my jacket and wrapped it around her before wiping her tears. Pulling her next to me, she sat on the floor next to me curled into my side.
~End of Flashback~
~Jinxx's POV~
It turned out that Juliet just couldn't handle her liquor as well as she used to. Luckily it wasn't serious just a worse hangover than us. She and Andy were now both cuddled in the bunk and sound check was pushed back a little. The bus atmosphere went quiet and everyone went back to their own thing. Ashley and CC were both on twitter speaking to fans, Ashley was also designing clothes for his line. Jake had gone off to use the hour for a workout session and I was tuning my violin when I felt someone sit down next to me and sigh. I already knew who it was before I looked. Allie, thankfully in pants.
"I'm sorry Jinxx" she blurted softly, pulling her knees up to her chin. She was dressed beautiful and cute today in light jeans and a pale pink top, her hair plaited in a side plait down one shoulder.
"It's ok" I smiled putting down my bow and resin, turning to face her.
"It isn't" she sighed again "I don't want things to be bad between us" her eyebrows knitted together and she looked up at me through her lashed, a flash of blue behind her eclipsing eyelashes.
"Neither do I" I admitted, wondering where she was going with this....
"Friends?"
Great!!! my mind screamed.
"Friends."
Mentally I was exhausted, I couldn't make the move she was younger. It would be like taking advantage, she would have to show me she wanted me too.
"What were you playing last night?" she asked gently, as if she was a little unsure.
"Just something I wrote." I announced biting my lip. "Would you like to hear it love?"
She nodded with a smile. Was it a ballsy move to call her love? Would she sense it would be her song? All this ate away at me when I picked up my fiddle and tuned it.
