Catch me when I fall?

The water was glistening beneath me. The moonlight reflected off the surface making it look like a bottomless pit of pure beauty. It was a cold autumn night, the leaves were brown, red an orange, decorating the landscaping around me with an enchanting freshness. Animals would be beginning to hibernate, ready to sleep. It was the perfect season. Golden leaves fluttered to the ground as a bitter breeze hit me in the face, the sour balance to the beauty that surrounded me; good I thought. The colder the better.

I breathed deeply inhaling the crisp air to center myself . I was ready, if the animals were going to sleep why couldn't I? I was ready to leave this world and be enveloped in the icy fall water. These past few months had been the cherry on top of 3 crap years. I couldn't take it anymore. I looked around once more taking in the beauty of the nature that surrounded the bridge I was sat on. The wind blew again slapping me in the face, I could feel my cheeks burn. This was it, the bridge was empty and no one would miss me if I left anyway. With that I stood up on the edge of the bridge. Held on to the railing and looked down.

Today

I sat reading 'The Five People You Meet In Heaven' on the plush coral sofa. This book was weird, the people you expected to meet in heaven weren't there and the people you weren't close with are? I'm not religious but that's confusing. I looked around the coffee shop, the smell of different brews of caffeine in the air, it was quaint. The client was late, Mr Hawk. The jerk who had pestered me for months for this meeting and he was late. This is not how I wanted to spend a warm spring day. I was about to go and get what would be my third Costa coffee, when I heard a mans voice. "Excuse me, I'm looking for Alison Sparks?" he asked a smartly dressed woman, he too was expensively dressed. A dark grey suit decorated his tall stocky body, he had grey eyes and a few grey hairs taking over his dark brown cut hair. Oh he was one of those. However unfortunately for him the woman appeared oblivious, With that I stood up and brushed off my parka. "That would be me" I said clearing my throat, as I put my book away."Oh um...very well" He choked, looking me up and down. Clearly I wasn't what he expected; a blonde haired, blue eyed, rocker styled chick. Especially for what he had planned. He wasn't what I'd expected either. I was clearly way in over my head, but I needed the money. "Shall we get this over with Miss Sparks?" he asked with a gleam in his grey eyes.
