Remembering Yesterday

Zoey walked upstairs as quickly and silently as she could. She had to get to James right away. How could her mom be so evil!? Killing James, how could she do that to him, to her!? James was like a brother to her, her mom used to love him as if he were his own son. That’s when Zoey knew that her mom was crazy. She silently closed her door and locked it. She put tape around her door trying to keep the light from going in or out of the door. She turned her light on and a took huge hello kitty carry-on bag out from under her bed. She opened it and started stuffing her clothes in. She had to get out of here quick. She took her phone out from her back pocket and searched for James’ number. She was about to click the call button but stopped. No, she couldn’t call him. If her call got registered her parents would know she had warned him and that she would be with him. She froze as she heard her footsteps. “I have to go check on her.” “Leave her honey, she’s upset. We’ll talk about it in the morning.” “But-” “We have to form a plan first, how else are we going to explain that she has to leave for England at the end of the week?” “You’re right.” Mrs. Parker sighed, “Let’s go to sleep. This day has been crazy and I feel I’m going to explode from all the chaos.” Zoey heard the footsteps descending. She quickly finished packing and erased Andy, Ashley, Jinxx, CC, and Jake from her contacts on her phone. She erased any call that had been made to any of the guys and put her phone under her pillow. She put a few pillows under her blankets and tried to make it look as if she were lying on her bed. She grinned as she turned her bedroom light off.

Zoey opened her window and looked out. She looked down and felt her heart skip a beat. How in the world was she going to get down to the first floor? She slowly cursed and heard a soft cough. She squinted into the night looking around trying to find where the noise had come from. “Zo….” She moved away from her window startled. What the hell was going on!? She heard someone chuckle and a thud. “You scared our little cheerleader.” Ashley? Zoey looked out her window and saw something moving. “Shh..we can’t wake her parents up. Zo can you hear us?” “Yes….” Zoey whispered harshly. “We’ve come to save you.” Jinxx…she was sure that was his voice. “Are you guys crazy?” “Did you just notice that?” CC. “Stop talking or you’re going to wake someone up.” “Zo come on pack your bags we’re leaving.” Ashley. She put her bag out the window and saw someone was waiting with open arms. She dropped it and heard a soft thud. “Fuck, what does she have in here?” Zoey couldn’t help but giggle. “Okay now it’s your turn.” Zoey froze, they could not be serious! “I’ll catch you.” Zoey looked out her window and managed to see two blue eyes looking at her. “I can’t…” “I’ll catch you. I won’t let you fall.” Zoey crawled out her window her back facing the empty cold night. She grabbed onto the window seal and closed her eyes. There was no way in hell she was letting go of the window seal. She tried to even her breathing. “Don’t you trust me?” Zoey closed her eyes as she let go of the window seal and felt herself fall into the darkness.

Andy looked at Ashley and grinned. They had managed to catch Zoey and keep her from breaking her skull open. Ashley handed Zoey to him and he chuckled as he took her into his arms and saw she had her eyes shut closed. He put his lips close to her ear, “Open your eyes princess. You aren’t dead yet.” Zoey’s eyes popped open and her icy blue eyes met his. “I won’t ever let you down.” Zoey looked at Andy and felt the sudden urge to kiss him. She leaned towards him and she saw him smile. Her thoughts were interrupted by someone clearing their throat. She looked at Jinxx frowning. He smiled innocently, “Sorry guys. But we have to go, unless Zoey wants her parents to join the party.” Andy helped Zoey stand and grabbed her hand. “Let’s run away and never look back.” “I’ll follow you to the end.” Zoey and the guys ran for about three blocks and stopped as they were face to face with an old RV. Zoey looked at Andy confused. He shrugged, “They won’t ever think of looking for us in an RV like this.” Zoey looked up as the door opened and tackled James. James managed to keep his balance as he caught Zoey. “What are you doing here!?”
