Accident

“You're not alone, We'll brave this storm, Let's face today, You're not alone.” Black Veil Brides were performing the song “Carolyn” at a sold out concert in Los Angeles.

Jake Pitts stood on the platform playing the song inspired by his mom. He was getting into it, not paying attention to losing his balance and he fell 10 feet into the crowd.

The security team told the crowd to make room so they could get Jake safely to the hospital. Jake's guitar tech followed closely behind, and grabbed the now mangled guitar Jake was using.

Security rushed Jake backstage & waited for paramedics to arrive.

Andy Biersack, the lead vocalist, had called Jake's fiancée, Ella.

“Jake was fine, but you know how he gets when we play Carolyn. He fell off of the stage.”

“Andy, I'm already on my way. See you guys soon.” She said as they hung up.

Andy, Jeremy “Jinxx” Ferguson, Ashley Purdy, and Christian “CC” Coma all piled into CC's car and followed the ambulance to the hospital.

The band and Ella had been at the hospital for an hour, waiting on word about Jake's condition.

After another five minutes, a doctor comes over to the group.

“He's fine. A few broken bones. I should warn you, he did suffer a concussion, so he may be out of it for awhile.”

“Will he remember us?” Ashley asked.

“I don't know, it's hard to say. It's different with each patient I've had, some have amnesia. Some don't. I'll show you to his room.”

The group followed the doctor to the room Jake was in. Ella was distraught by the accident, so Jinxx held her until she calmed down.

They braced themselves, as they walked in.
