The Falling Out [[Part Two]]

Andy’s POV

The scent of coffee and sterile instruments floated up into my nose as I walked through the halls of the hospital. For the last two days, Sadee has been up here, sedated and basically in a medically induced coma. It has been the scariest thing of my life. She was motionless and there was basically no brain activity and it was scaring me. Zara has been up her almost as much as me over the last two days and I’m glad. She is almost as worried about her as me and it’s comforting knowing that there is someone else here who is freaking out as bad as me.

I walked back into Sadee’s room and saw Zara sitting on the mini couch, her legs pulled up underneath her and her phone was out. She looked up as I closed the door and walked over by her with her coffee, which she took happily.

“Any more news from the doctors?” She asked. I shook my head and sat down on the couch, but I slouched and rested my head on the back of the couch.

“You’d think they would let us know,” she muttered and took a drink of her coffee.

“I know, but, they are still figuring out what the hell caused her brain to swell,” I said with a sigh and felt Zara put her hand on my knee.

“As long as they do it soon, I’m fine,” she smiled and I rolled my eyes. We were quiet for a while after that, I thought about taking a small nap since I haven’t slept much over the last two days, but that thought was interrupted when the door to the room opened and I heard a few people come in. Zara patted my leg which forced me to look at who walk in, and it was the doctor assigned to Sadee’s case.

“Mr. Biersack, good morning. How are you feeling today?” He asked me as he shook my hand.

“I’m fine, more worried about Sadee of course,” I chuckled and he nodded.

“Well, we have found a reason for the brain swelling. On our initial look at the scans, there seemed to be nothing wrong, except for the brain swelling. But as we looked closer, and got those scans yesterday, we found a few small pockets of fluid around the edge of her brain, which caused the brain to swell,” he stopped and I watched him.

“Okay, what does that mean?” I asked.

“What that means is that we have to go in and drain that fluid, which is why all of us are in here. Once we release the fluid, the brain should go back to normal and she should be fine,” he told me and I nodded.

“Okay. Do what you need to do,” I said and he smiled.

“Alright, we are going to take her down there now. And while we are in there, I will take her out of the MDC,” he informed me and I nodded again. He shook my hand again and then left the room with Sadee. I sat back down on the couch and closed my eyes. I felt Zara put her hand on my back and then gently rubbed it.

“She’ll be fine Andy,” she told me and I nodded.

“I know, I think my lack of sleep is catching up to me,” I told her and she chuckled.

“How about you take a nap, and when the doctor comes back in the room, I’ll wake you up?” She asked and I nodded.

“Good idea,” I answered and then laid back, sleep soon enveloping me.

Sometime later, I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder and shake it a little to wake me. When I opened my eyes, I saw Zara looking at me and then I noticed that the doctor was in here. He was smiling at me and I sat up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

“I am so sorry that took so long, but Sadee is now in recovery. We drained all the fluid and the swelling began to go down as we brought her to the recovery room. She will be in there for about an hour before coming back here, are there any questions?” He asked and I looked at Zara.

“Do you know why there was fluid in her brain?” She asked him and he shrugged.

“There was a small blockage that prevented the cerebrospinal fluid from flowing normally, so there was a buildup of it in her brain. We cleaned the blockage so she should be fine now,” he said and we both nodded.

“Thank you,” I said and he nodded before walking out.

“At least it wasn’t something super serious,” Zara said. I looked at her with a look of disbelief.

“She had fluid building up in her brain, how is that not super serious?” I asked and she shrugged.

“I meant that at least there wasn’t something super serious like a brain bleed or some shit like that, calm down Biersack,” she laughed and got off of the couch to stretch.

“True,” I muttered and she smiled at me.

“Now, I don’t know about you, but I am hungry, so I am going down to the food court. Also, the band is here,” she said and I nodded before getting off of the couch. We walked out of the room and down to the food court, I immediately saw the band sitting at a table talking. When we got there, CC immediately hugged Zara and the others looked at me.

“How’s Sadee?” Ashley asked.

“In recovery. She had fluid building up in her brain which caused her brain to swell,” I said as I sat down.

“Oh jeez. So are you going to let her do anything with her music after she goes home?” Jake asked me and I shrugged.

“Not for the first like week, which is probably going to be more her doctor’s orders than mine. After that, I don’t care, as long as she takes it easy,” I said and looked at Zara. “Which I am going to give you the responsibility of making sure she doesn’t go too hard while doing stuff with the EP.”

“I promise to not let her brain swell again!” Zara told me and I chuckled.

“Good. Now, I am hungry, so I’m getting food,” I said and stood again. As I walked to the food, Ashley caught up to me.

“So Sadee is going to be fine?” He asked and I nodded.

“That’s what the doctor said,” I told him and he nodded.

“Good, I don’t know what we would do without her,” he said and I chuckled.

“You don’t know what you would do? What would I do?” I asked and he nodded.

“I know, you two are two peas in a pod, you can’t live without each other,” he said. I smiled as I grabbed some food. It’s true, we are each others life support. She calms me down when I’m upset, and I calm her down when she’s upset. We laugh together all the time and pick at each other. We have an amazing relationship, and I don’t know what I’d do without her.

Notes

Welcome to another installment in this story!!! Nothing too terribly serious happened, and yes this entire chapter is in Andy's POV. I am hoping you guys like it.

So I have decided that the end of this story will be in two parts. And the chapters will be called 'In The End Part One' and 'In The End Part Two'. Awesome stuff is going to happen with Andy and Sadee. They will take place an entire year later, so in 2016. But I have awesome stuff planned for it so be prepared. And I don't know if I'll post both chapters next weekend or one on friday and one on the next friday. I will let you know. But, in the meantime, re-read this and Happy Little Pill. I am so in love with my Sadee/Andy Universe.

Peace <3
