Bullets in a Music Box

Maine [Part One]

The scent of rubber and ink was all I could smell as I sat on the chair, Andy, Zara, and Jackson sitting with me. I’m finally gonna get myself a tattoo, and it’s gonna hurt. I was dumb and decided to get a tattoo on my side, a colored tattoo, of an owl. My knee bounced nervously and I bit my lip. It took me a while to finally decide to do this. I mean, we’re on tour, how the hell am I gonna take care of it? But Zara and Andy talked me into it when we were on the plane from Moscow. The door to the back opened and a lady walked up.

“Hi, you must be Sadee,” she looked at me and I nodded.

“Yeah,” I said.

“I’m Sarah, and I will be doing your tattoo today. Only one person can come back with you,” she said. I immediately put my hand on Andy’s knee and he chuckled. We got off the chairs and followed Sarah to the back room. Andy rubbed my back as we walked. When we got to the room, I swallowed, holy shit, I’m getting a tattoo.

“So you’re getting an owl tattoo on your side?” Sarah asked. I nodded and she smiled.

“Shirt off please,” she said. I nodded and took off my shirt, it was cold in that room.

“Also, lay down on this table here,” she said and I obliged. I laid on my arm and looked at Andy, who was sitting on a chair by my head.

“Why an owl?” Sarah asked as she cleaned my side and put the stencil down.

“They’re my favorite animal, and I think they are pretty,” I shrugged and she nodded.

“I’m guessing this is your boyfriend?” She asked.

“Yeah,” I nodded and she smiled.

“I love your band by the way,” she commented and I watched as Andy smirked.

“Thanks,” he said and I rolled my eyes. From behind me I heard Sarah test the gun and I made a face at Andy. He smiled and rubbed my arm.

“You’ll be fine Sadee,” he said. I pouted and he rolled his eyes.

“You ready?” Sarah asked.

“Probably not, but if I don’t do it now, I won’t do it,” I sighed and she chuckled before putting her hand on my skin and then I could feel her bring the gun closer before it hit my skin. It hurt, obviously. Why wouldn’t a needle going into your skin hundreds of times per second hurt? But not as much as I thought it would. I was making a face though because Andy was laughing.

“Oh just wait, she’s not on your ribcage,” he said.

“Shut up Biersack before I kick you,” I said.

“Are we doing the whole thing today?” Sarah asked.

“If you could. We’re only in this town for another two days,” I said.

“Alright. I can do the whole thing, no problem. But you tell me when you need a break,” she said. I nodded and watched Andy.

As time went on, it got more and more painful, but I knew that if I took a break, I wouldn’t go back, so I let her keep going. I talked with Andy throughout the whole thing and Sarah asked about the tour, about us, all that. Finally she said she was done and she was wiping it off. My side was on fire, like burning coals, lava fire. She put something over it and taped it down before telling me to stand.

“You okay?” She asked.

“I will be,” I chuckled, but that hurt and I made a face. Andy helped me off the table and then helped me pull my shirt back over my head. We followed Sarah out to the front and Zara and Jackson were laughing.

“What’s so funny?” I asked.

“A video Jackson showed me. How was it?” Zara asked.

“I’m not gonna sleep for a few days, but, I’m good,” I smiled and we left the place. As we walked down the road, I felt Andy snake his arm carefully around my shoulders.

“What are we gonna do now?” He asked.

“Food?” I asked. Zara looked at her phone and nodded.

“It’s six, hell yeah. My stomach is gonna implode,” she said dramatically and I rolled my eyes before we all started searching for a food place. I spotted one. It was called Rebecca’s Place.

“Let’s go there,” I pointed and we all agreed before crossing the street and walking in. The hostess that was at the podium smiled at us and grabbed four menus.

“Follow me,” she said and she showed us to a table. I sat down on the chair, and almost started crying because I shifted weirdly and my side argued with me.

“You okay there?” Jackson asked.

“My side is arguing with me right now,” I said. They all laughed at me and I made a face at them. We were all silent as we looked over the menu and I found this awesome potato dish.

“I know what I’m getting,” I said and they all gave me a look.

“What?” I asked.

“Nothing, you’re just being a little extra weird today,” Zara said. I flipped her off and she giggled.

“Oh wait, that’s CC’s job,” I stuck my tongue out at her and her face went beet red.

“That’s right, that happened,” Jackson said. Zara smacked him and I smiled. A waitress walked up to our table and smiled.

“Good evening, I’m Dana and I’ll be your server. Can I start you all with a drink?” She asked.

“Mountain Dew please,” I said. She nodded and looked at Andy.

“Mountain Dew,” he said.

“Pepsi,” Zara said.

“Sierra Mist,” Jackson said and Dana nodded before walking away.

“We are all so boring,” I said.

“How so?” Jackson asked.

“We all got soda. We’re on foot,” I said and they all shrugged.

“Maybe we don’t want to get drunk tonight, or at least not this early,” Zara said and I rolled my eyes before looking back at the menu. That potato thing looks so delicious. Dana came back with our drinks and then looked at us.

“Do you need some more time to decide?” She asked. We all shook our head and she looked at me.

“The potato plate,” I said and she smiled before writing it down.

“With or without gravy?” She asked.

“With gravy,” I said and she smiled before looking at Andy.

“Turkey burger,” he said.

“Boring,” I said. He gave me a look and I smiled.

“I would like the potato plate, with gravy and extra cheese please,” Zara said.

“Copier!” I exclaimed and she shrugged.

“The nacho plate,” Jackson said and Dana grabbed our menus and walked away.

“So we have boring, copier, and nacho guy, awesome.” I said.

“Turkey burgers are not boring,” Andy said.

“Yes they are babe,” I said and he rolled his eyes. This night is so much fun. Now hopefully tomorrow is the same.

Notes

So not that long of a chapter, but, I had a nice laugh. Sadee got a tattoo, which I wanted her to get for a while, and I think it's awesome. I'm pretty sure that normal tattoo places don't do this kind of tattoo in one sitting, but I decided to do it, cause it's a story and there can be some unrealistic stuff sometimes.

Some of you are kind of guessing what Sadee is gonna do, but it's not quite what she does. Only one person guessed what she does correctly. I'm gonna post it on Wednesday. Maine part two tomorrow, Portland, ME on Monday and then shitstorm part one on wednesday. It's not the shitstorm chapter I prewrote, but it's part one of three. Shits going down in NYC and then Niagara Falls is in between. So Shitstorm chapter won't be till like Friday or Saturday.

QUESTION TIME: What should Sadee and Andy do in the next chapter? Cause I'm gonna have them have date day and then the concert. Give me your ideas!!! I love them.
