It Doesn't Matter What They Say

"Andy! Heh-heh-hey b-baby. Wh-where's the floppy thing?" Ashley slurred.

I can't believe it, he's drunk again!

I sighed. "If you mean 'Where's Dragonfly?' then she's gone out with Sandra and Sammi for the night. Where have you been?"

"Ah-out. W-with C... Fuck, I'm drunk." He mumbled.

I sighed again and went and picked him up.

"Hey, put me down!"

"Ash you're drunk, you need to go to bed."

I placed Ash on the bed and began undressing him until he was only wearing his boxers.

"L-like st-stripping me, a-Andy?" Ash laughed.

"When you're sober. Now sleep." I said.

Ash whined when I was leaving the room. "Andy! Wh-"

"Sleep Ashley. You're going to have one hell of a hangover tomorrow, how much Jack have you fucking had?" Don't get me wrong, I'm partial to a glass Jack myself, but Ash was really drunk. Like really drunk.

"I dunno." Ash said.

"Sleep, Ash. You'll feel better in the morning, baby."

"No I won't." Ash said sadly. "I'll still b-be a mother fucking whore who's gonna d-die 'lone, 'cause I'm a ch-cheating bastard and everyone knows it. I'm a fucking slut." He sniffed and burrowed his head in the pillows.

"Oh, baby." I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him to my chest. He grabbed my shirt and sobbed into my shoulder. "Baby, you are not a whore. You're not a bastard and you're not a slut. You're a beautiful person Ashley, don't give up on me and Jules, we love you. We need you. We can't imagine life without you anymore, you know that. We love you. I love you so much and it kills me to see you giving up. What is it I always say Ashley?"

"N-never give i-in." He whispered.

"Exactly. Don't give in. Never give in. Those bastards don't mean a thing. They don't mean a god damn thing!" I whispered back. "I love you."

"I love you too." Ash whispered.

"Get some sleep honey."

Ash snuggled into my arms, and he was soon asleep. I kissed his forehead.

I love you Ashley.
