Numb

Chapter XL

Andy's POV:

Courtney hasn't spoken a word to anyone since she came home from the hospital two days ago. Ash has kept her home, for obvious reasons. One being that she was in the hospitlal, and two, she was depressed.

She he has practically barricaded her room, not letting anyone in, and refuses to eat. The one time Ash managed to get in there, she didn't acknowledge him at all, simply sat on her bed, and stared blankly out her window. She didn't move, rarely blinked, and took shallow breaths. The whole thing was alarming.

Ashley asked all the guys to stay over, so we could all keep a close eye on Courtney if Ash ever had to step out. Ashley also was certain that out of all of us, she was most entitled to wish to speak to me, so far, no such luck. But we were all trying.

At night, we all stayed awake, sadly listening to the echoing sound of her sobbing throughout the night. Whenever we attempted to soothe her, she would threaten to hurt herself, and to be honest, Ashley would rather have her crying then bleeding. During the bright hours of the day, her cries were controlled and quieter, though we could still occasionally hear. It broke my heart every time to hear her sound so broken.

The worst part was, she refused to get any help. Not only would she lock herself up in her room, isolated of anyone to talk to, but the fact that because of that, she also wouldn't see anyone else to talk to about her problems. She needed help, but all she intended to do was rot away slowly, until she was only a shell of the lively, beautiful girl she used to be.

And I just couldn't lose her. But I didn't know how to save her.

Notes

Sad chapter, and the next few chapter will be worse, so read at your own risk. I'm dead serious, I'll have a warning ahead of the following ones because of what I already have planned. Sorry if it is too much for anyone. But it's important, depression doesn't just disappear, it grows until it consumes a person.

Hi, I love your fanfiction but I wanted to talk to you about your brother. My advice is don't waste your time hating him. Life is too short and relationships with your siblings are too important. Trust me.
