Love, Hate, Magic, and the Past

"Guys? I think she died..." I said.
"No! No! No! She can't be dead!" Ashley yelled. "Kira! Can you hear me?"
"Ash...she's dead." I said
"Kate! She can't be dead. No she said she would never do this." He sobbed into my shoulder. I was taken by surprise. *time skip*
CC walked up to us. He put a hand on my shoulder. I looked up.
*CC's POV*
I looked down at Kate. Her eyes were red and puffy. Her shirt had makeup smudged on it, from Ash's war paint. I picked her up and carried her away to her bed. I laid her down and kissed her forehead.
"Shhh this is just a dream." I said.
*Kate's POV*
I woke up screaming. CC sat up next to me. He wrapped his arms around me and rocked me back and forth. "It isn't real. It wasn't real. It can't be real." I kept muttering. The guys ran into the room. Kira right at Ashley's side. "It's ok, Kate." CC kept whispering in my ear. The others left. I cried into his chest until I fell asleep again.
*CC's POV*
She fell asleep in my arms. Her dreams have been getting worse. She had one where Jake turned evil and killed her, she wouldn't go near him for a week. I wonder what this one was about.
*Kira's POV*
I saw CC holding Kate, who was in hysterics. She kept muttering nonsense under her breath. I tried to run to her, but Ashley held on to me. I hated to see my best friend like this. It tore me apart. Ash led me away.
"What is happening to her?" I asked him.
"I have no clue, dear." He replied. "Just know that CC will calm her down."
"Ash, this has been going on for a while."
"She's going to be ok." Jake said Ashley put his arm around me and guided me to the couch. I cried until I fell asleep.
When I woke up I saw Jake and Andy talking in the kitchen. Jinxx was passed out on the other couch and Ash was still asleep beneath me. Andy saw that I was awake and waved to me. I waved back and got up without waking Ash up. I grabbed a plate and took some of the pancakes that were out. I also took some silverware and maple syrup. After I sat down I began to eat. Someone from the living room groaned and I looked over. Jinxx was sitting up and rubbing his head. "Morning." He mumbled. Jinxx stumbled into the bathroom and closed the door. "Someone's tired." I said under my breath. I finished the pancakes and went to wake up Ashley. I leaned in and kissed him. His eyes fluttered open and he kissed back as he sat up.I smile at his waking face and grab his hand, pulling him up from his place of previous slumber. "You might wanna..." I mutter and point to his hair. Ash laughs. "I'll deal with it for now, I'm super hungry. We walk into the kitchen and there's a redheaded girl standing there hanging out with the guys. Ashley's eyes open wide as he stood there a beat and then slowly backed away, making a run for it back to the couch. I ran after him. "Ash, what's wrong? Who was that?"
"M-my ex... Alex..." He said, shuddering.
"Ashley, what happened between you two to make you....scared of her?"
"N-nothing." He replied.
"Ash-"
"Hey baby!" An excited voice said. "How are you doing?"
"Uhh....I'm doing good."
The redhead leaned in close to his face. Ash looked frightened. She whispered softly but I still heard. "Who is she? Never mind she doesn't matter...why don't you follow me. I can show you who's better..."
His face grew slightly pink and he backed away from the girl. "Alex...we are not doing this...and this is Kira, my girlfriend." He said coldly. I have never seen him like this.
Alex was flustered. Slowly her expression changed, her eyes seemed to get colder. She walked over to me and whispered in my ear. "This is a war...and you are already losing..." and with that she walked out, leaving Ashley and I stunned and unable to move.
