My Anchors Dropped
ALEX'S POV
A raging headache woke me up early the next morning. I groaned irritably at the rather small, yet bright, amount of sun that was shining through the not fully drawn curtains. A raspy moan of displeasure coming from beside me unfortunately added to the pain in my head.
I brought my hands to my temples. "Be quiet." I whined. Andy laughed softly and rolled over to kiss my head, attempting to make as little noise as possible. I huffed angrily at myself for drinking so much the night before.
But hey, at least it got me to forget about the fight.. right?
"Come on, get up." Andy ordered quietly as he sat up and stretched. Even the quiet crack of his bones made my head pulse in agony.
"I.am.never.drinking.again." I mumbled, unwillingly leaving the warmth of Andy's bed. Andy laughed softly and lead the way to the kitchen.
Surprisingly, Ashley and Devlynn were sat at the island in the kitchen eating breakfast. Ash pointed towards the counter top that held two full plates of bacon, sausages, and pancakes on them and mumbled with a mouth full of food,
"Eat up."
As we grabbed our plates and some orange juice Dev said, "Number 1 hangover cure in my book." She smiled knowingly at me, most likely seeing the scowl on my face. I eagerly grabbed my food and hurried into the living room since there was only two seats at the island and I wanted to be comfortable.
Not even a minute after I took the last bite of my breakfast Ashley and Devlynn joined us. They sat on the couch beside the one Andy and I were on.
"So, Alex.." Ash began, a teasing smirk on his face. I looked at him with my eyebrows raised in question and hummed in reply. "You were pretty drunk last night, huh?" I paid no attention to the warning look on Devlynn's face as she stared Ashley down.
I laughed. "Yeah, I don't remember a thing."
"So you don't remember-" Ashley's question was cut off by Devlynn exclaiming,
"Ash! You're gonna embarrass the poor girl!" My once raised eyebrows furrowed together in confusion at her scolding and I couldn't help but wonder -
What did I do last night that's so embarrassing?
"Just drop it, Ash." Andy ordered. Ashley pouted mockingly but shrugged and nodded.
"No, wait! What did I do?" I chimed in, my curiosity getting the best of me. quiet sighs and a small cheer of happiness echoed around the otherwise silent room. I turned to Andy.
"Tell me, I wanna know what I did that's so embarrassing." I pried. Andy sighed and nodded.
He shrugged. "It's really nothing....you just asked to have sex with me, that's all." I breathed a sigh of relief, happy I didn't make a complete fool out of myself.
Ashley laughed obnoxiously and countered loudly, "Yeah right! She didn't just ask to have sex with you, she begged you to fuck her!" Devlynn hit him hard on the arm.
"Ashley, that was so not necessary!" She yelled. Andy shook his head angrily at Ashley's succeeded attempt to embarrass me.
"Well...." I trailed off, gaining the eyes of my two friends and mate. "Did we?"
To be honest, I was kind of worried about what the answer may be. I definitely did not want my first time with Andy to be ruined because we were wasted.
But thankfully, Andy shook his head no.
"Of course not, I couldn't take advantage of you like that." He reassured me. I smiled and kissed my mate, my heart swelling at the thought that he would say no to having sex with me simply because I was drunk, even though most guys would jump at the opportunity.
"Still can't believe you turned down getting laid..." Ash shook his head disappointedly. Dev hit his arm once more.
"Alright, it's time to get this one out of here before he says anything else offensive." I laughed along with Andy and stood up to say goodbye to the two.
As I was hugging Ashley goodbye he whispered in my ear, "By the way, Andy said he wanted nothing more than to take you right then and there..but just keep that between us." I blushed and nodded as we pulled away and smiled when Ash winked at me.
"It was so nice to meet you, Alex. We definitely have to hangout again sometime soon!" Devlynn said as she hugged me.
I nodded. "I'd like that."
Once the two left, I sighed. For some unfortunate reason all my worry about the fight came rushing back to me.

@Red Phoenix77 i wrote this back when i was about 13 (im 18 now) but i assume that my thought process was that vampires weren't undead, they were very much alive. also, i was very inexperienced when writing this story so i didn't put too much thought into things. maybe i'll re-write it one day! :)
