The Wretched And Divine
I Sit Here and Smile Dear
ALEX'S POV
I didn't know where Andy was taking me, but i knew i was excited. This was my first date ever, and the fact that it's with Andy made it so much more special.
"Where are we going?" I asked from the passengers seat, beaming out of excitement. He glanced over at me quickly before turning his gaze back to the rode.
"First, we're going to dinner." He said. I shot him a weird look.
"First?" I questioned, eyebrow raised. He nodded nonchalantly before sighing.
"We're going somewhere else after dinner, babe." He said, laughing slightly. I nodded, deciding to stop asking so many questions.
We pulled up into a parking lot of the restaurant we were going to eat at. Andy pulled into a parking spot before killing the engine. He got out and quickly walked over to my side of the car, opening my door for me. I smiled at him and blushed. We walked into the restaurant hand in hand.
I stared in awe at the elegance, and most likely expensiveness, of this restaurant. I felt out of place being here! We walked up to the host's podium, exchanging smiles. It was obvious she thought Andy was hot by how many times she batted those fake eyelashes and bit her lip. Andy released my hand.
"Name?" She asked, changing her posture so she was now sticking her most likely fake boobs out.
"Biersack." Andy replied sweetly. She nodded and looked up his name in the reservation book. Although practically everything about her was fake, i felt oddly insecure being around her. There's a possibility that Andy finds her hot. I sighed, attempting to shut my thoughts off so they don't ruin my mood and potentially my night.
"Right this way, hon." She said with a wink. Andy wrapped his arm around my waist as we followed her.
She stopped at table that seats two people and placed our menus down. Our table was pretty secluded, which i was thankful for. There were rose petals scattered across the table top and a medium sized candle in the middle. The lights were dimmed for a romantic feel. Everything was perfect. Andy pulled my seat out for me, pushing me in when i sat down before sitting in his seat.
"Enjoy your dinner, sugar." The host winked. I rolled my eyes.
"Thank you." Andy replied as she started to walk away. She shot me one last glare before fully leaving.
"Enjoy your dinner, sugar!" I said mockingly, groaning. Andy laughed a little at my childish behaviour.
"What?" He said, smirking. I raised an eyebrow at my oblivious boyfriend.
"Did you not notice her major attempt to flirt with you? Hon? Sugar? Hell, she was practically undressing you with her eyes!" I exclaimed. Andy rolled his eyes at me playfully, shaking his head.
"No, i noticed. I just let her flirt all she wanted." He shrugged.
"Why?"
"Because, no matter how much she flirts with me, you're still the one i brought on a date tonight. You're the one who's my mate. You're the one i'm in love with." Andy explained. I felt my cheeks heat up and couldn't stop the toothy grin that made it's way onto my face.
"I love you so much." I confessed, just as our waiter showed up.
"Hi guys, I'm John. I'll be your waiter this evening." He started. "What would you like for a drink?" He asked, looking at me first.
"Do you serve Shirley Temples?" I asked hopefully. John nodded.
"I'll have that then." I confirmed. He nodded and wrote that down on his little pad of paper before turning to Andy.
"Just a coke." Andy said. I shook my head rapidly.
"No! Get a Shirley Temple!" I demanded. Andy laughed but shook his head.
"No thanks." He denied. I glared at him playfully.
"He'll have a Shirley Temple." I said, turning to the waiter. He nodded and left before Andy could object.
"Why did you order me the most girliest drink ever?"

@Red Phoenix77 i wrote this back when i was about 13 (im 18 now) but i assume that my thought process was that vampires weren't undead, they were very much alive. also, i was very inexperienced when writing this story so i didn't put too much thought into things. maybe i'll re-write it one day! :)
