ANDY'S POV
I got home at about 3:30, even more excited then i was before. I attempted to stifle my grin since i didn't want Alex to get any ideas. They were all sitting in the living room, and i couldn't help but feel an awkward tension as i walked in. Alex looked up at me, smiling slightly, and everyone but Ashley greeted me. Strange. Is he mad at me or something?
"You alright, Ash?" I questioned, sitting down on the arm of my couch next to Alex. He looked up at me like he wanted to confess something.
"No, i'm fine." He said, smiling. I knew that smile was forced but didn't want to push it any further.
"Where did you go?" Alex asked. I shrugged in response, a smirk forming on my face. She groaned loudly causing me to laugh.
"I'm sorry baby girl." I apologized, wrapping my arm around her shoulders and kissing her head.
I got lost in a daydream, thinking about the date tonight. I was so excited to take Alex out and treat her like the princess she is. I knew this would be Alex's first date, so i wanted to make a good impression on her. But, i'm not worried. She's gonna love it.
"Hey, we're gonna get going." Jake said. He stood up, followed by the rest. I stood up too and said goodbye to them before rejoining Alex on the couch. I noticed that it was nearing 5 o'clock and our dinner reservations were for 6. I nudged Alex. She looked up at me with those big hazel eyes, the ones i fell in love with.
"Go get ready. Dress nice, but not too nice." I said. She looked at me questioningly, realization slowly making it's way onto her face. She smiled slightly and nodded, pecking me on the lips before getting up and leaving.
I heard the front door open and turned around to see my dad coming into the living room. He sat down next to me, grinning.
"Your mother told me that you're taking Alex on a date tonight." He announced.
"Yeah, i am." I said with a nod. He reached into his pocket and grabbed something out of it and making a fist. He moved his fist towards me. I raised an eyebrow at him before placing my hand under his, palm up. He dropped the object in my hand, making me groan loudly.
"A condom? Really dad?" I complained.
"Yes, really. If you and Alex are going to have sex tonight, i want you to use protection. We don't need any babies running around here, Andrew." He said sternly. I rolled my eyes but nodded, half thankful because if we were to have sex tonight, i now had a condom.
"I know, thanks dad." He nodded and said 'you're welcome' before exiting the room and heading to his study. I took out my wallet and placed the condom inside before putting it back. After waiting about 5 more minutes, i heard a little cough behind me. Turning around, i saw Alex in the doorway, smiling.
"Wow." I said, taking in her appearance.
Her make-up was how it normally is, except she did the smokey eye more dramatic. Her hair was up and being held by a black clip, her layers straightened to perfection. She was wearing a tight black lace dress that showed off her curves and her sexy smooth legs. A little bit of cleavage could be seen through the top of her dress, but not enough to look slutty. For shoes, Alex had on a pair of purple pumps with black gems on them. They made her tall, but still not as tall as me. She smiled and looked down with an obvious blush on her face.
"You like?" She asked. I nodded quickly and smiled as i walked over to her. I rested my hands on her hips.
"Like? More like love. You're absolutely stunning, baby." I confessed, making her blush get darker.
"T-thank you. Are you sure it' not too much?" She questioned. I shook my head no before grabbing her hand in mine and intertwining them together. We turned around to leave, but was stopped by my parents.
"Wait! I want pictures." My mom said, a big toothy grin on her face. I groaned at my parents ridiculous behaviour.
"Mom, we're just going on a date. Not prom." I argued.
"No, no, no! This is your first official date with your mate. When you guys are old, you can reminisce on these pictures. So make them count." She defended. I nodded, wanting to be able to look back on this night.
Alex and i posed for 3 pictures. In the first one, we were just standing next to each other, holding hands and smiling. In the second one, Alex's arms were wrapped around my waist as i kissed her head. Her face scrunched up very cutely. In the last one, we were facing each other and holding hands while kissing. My mother aw'd and my father nodded his head in approval. After the pictures were taken, we said goodbye to my parents and exited the house. I opened the passenger door for Alex and helped her in before getting in my side. I pulled out of my driveway with the biggest grin on my face.
Nothing could ruin this night...

@Red Phoenix77 i wrote this back when i was about 13 (im 18 now) but i assume that my thought process was that vampires weren't undead, they were very much alive. also, i was very inexperienced when writing this story so i didn't put too much thought into things. maybe i'll re-write it one day! :)
