ANDY'S POV
We got to school not long after picking up the guys and making our annual run to Starbucks. As i was pulling into a parking spot, i noticed Max and his friends leaning up against a tree near where we normally sit. Alex must have seen him too because she instantly started trembling.
"We don't have to sit there if you don't wanna be near them." I offered. She took a deep breathe, making an attempt to calm herself down.
"No, i think we should. Can't let him run our lives, can we?" Alex said with a shakey voice as she tried to be brave. I do agree with not letting him control what we do, but would prefer Alex to feel safe.
"If you want to..." I trailed off, asking for confirmation. She nodded her head before smiling slightly. The guys were listening in the back. I killed the engine and we got out of the car. Ash, CC, Jake, and Jinxx all hurriedly piled out of the backseat since i decided Alex got the front to herself so they'd have to squish in the back. I'm surprise they all fit.
We walked up to the bench, sitting down nonchalantly. I could tell out of the corner of my eye Max was watching us, or should i say Alex, intently. Craig caught his glare, staring at our table now too.
"I'm gonna go throw this away." Jake announced, holding his empty cup of coffee. Jinxx and CC got up too.
"Throw mine away for me?" Ashley asked CC, who reached out to grab the cup from Ashley's hand. Ashley nodded as a way to say thank you before the three walked off.
I had a feeling Max and some others we're approaching us and by the look of Alex's face, my feeling was correct.
"Mind if i sit?" Max mockingly asked. I shot him a glare saying 'get the fuck out of here'. Craig sat down next to him and a sophmore named Ronnie next to him. Ronnie seemed uncomfortable and by the looks of it, Craig had a tight grip around his arm.
"So Andy," Craig started. "Have you fucked her yet?" I heard Alex gasped quietly next to me and Ashley growl.
"I don't think that's any of your god damn business." Ashley spat. Max dramatically sighed before making tsk noises and shaking his head.
"You better soon. 'Cause if you don't, someone else will." He winked at Alex who started trembling more. "And i wouldn't mind being that someone." I slammed my fist on the wooden table, cracking it slightly.
"Leave." I growled through my teeth. Max and Craig just laughed at me.
"G-guys, you should l-leave them al-alone.." Ronnie spoke up quietly." They both growled lowly. Craig painfully tightened his grip on Ronnie's arm, causing a whimper to emit from the scared boy. Craig whispered something in his ear making Ronnie's eyes widen. I felt bad for the poor kid.
"....Or y'know, Ashley might." Max continued. Ashley looked at him with a mixture of anger and confusion. Alex's gaze never left her lap, but every time Max would speak she'd wince slightly.
"Ashley might what?" I asked, annoyed.
"Fuck her. You know how he's like, he'll probably force her. Y'know, hold her down and strip her of her clothes. Laugh as she begs him to sto-" I felt Alex pick up my iced coffee and looked at her questioningly. I noticed Ashley was looking down, ashamed. She took the cap off before throwing my drink in Max's face. I was stunned by her sudden outburst, and to be honest, slightly amused.
"Don't you ever talk about Ashley like that! He's not a worthless piece of shit like you!" She shouted. Max's eyes turned bright red and he lunged at her over the table. They both fell back into the grass, Alex screaming. I shot up and ripped Max off her. Craig attacked me from behind and knocked me to the ground. He punched me in the face, splitting my lip wide open. I felt blood trickle down my face but was more focused at keeping Alex safe.
"Stay away from her." I heard Ashley growl as he stopped Max from attacking Alex again. I grabbed Craig by the throat and pushed him back slightly before punching him in the jaw. I threw him off me, and looked up to see the guys running at us. They arrived within seconds and put themselves in front of Alex. Max and Craig were outnumbered.
"See you 'round." Max laughed before running off. Craig grabbed Ronnie by the arm, who looked unbelievably frightened, and dragged him off to where Max ran.
"Baby, are you okay? Did he hurt you?" I asked worriedly, running over to where Alex was sitting. She surpressed her sobs and shook her head, touching next to where my lip was busted. Before her eyes the cut healed itself. She looked shocked. Before she could ask a question the bell rang.
"Do you wanna go to class or skip?" I asked. Alex mumbled a quiet 'go'. I nodded, helping her to her feet before grabbing both of our bags and handing her hers. I walked to class with her pulled to my chest.

i decided to add a little fight scene so yeah! throughout the story i will add more characters, but depending on their importance will they be added to the characters list. so keep that in mind! i will most likely add Ronnie soon, he'll show up a lot more throughout the story. Also, most titles will be Black Veil Brides lyrics/song titles, but if not i will credit the song.Title: Issues by Escape The Fate
@Red Phoenix77 i wrote this back when i was about 13 (im 18 now) but i assume that my thought process was that vampires weren't undead, they were very much alive. also, i was very inexperienced when writing this story so i didn't put too much thought into things. maybe i'll re-write it one day! :)
