Be the Death of Me
Chapter fourteen
Olivia's POV:
Here we are. The day me and Ashley started dating, and the day he has to leave to finish tour. We live in opposite sides of the country, so I'll basically never see him. On top of that, the time difference means we more or less will never get to talk or FaceTime. So life more or less sucks right now despite having gotten together with the man I love.
The cab to the airport is filled with silence. Not awkward or uncomfortable silence, just solemn silence. I'm clutching Ashley's hand for dear life, praying that I never have to let go, which I eventually will as our destination draws closer. Ashley holds me to his side, murmuring sweet things to me, but I don't feel any better.
All too soon, we arrive at the Manhattan airport. My stomach churns in uneasiness and sadness; I really hate to have to leave Ashley. As if reading my thoughts, he pulls me close to his chest, hugging me to his warm, strong body.
He briefly separates us as tears begin to leak from my watery eyes. He quickly pays the cab driver the fare for driving to the airport, and for the drive back on my behalf. He really is the sweetest guy. The cab driver waits patiently in the car as my boyfriend and I exchange our goodbyes.
I cling to him, sobbing into his shoulder and downright making a huge fool of myself but at the moment, I really don't care. Ashley doesn't either, and keeps me close to his body, burying his head into my long, silky hair. We stay in this position for who knows how long, until I pull away, smiling softly at him through my tears. Ashley frowns and gently wipes my tear-strained face his his thumb, before kissing me softly on the lips, then the cheeks, then my forehead and back to my lips. I lean into his touch, unsure of how I'll make the next couple of months without his touch.
"You should go babe, you don't want to miss you flight," i say weakly, blinking away more tears.
Ashley smiles sadly, "I wish I could miss my flight if it would mean staying with you."
I shake my head, "nope, you can't do that. I won't let you. Besides, how will Black Veil Brides go on without their amazing bass player?"
"They'll find away."
I smile up at him and cup his cheek affectionately, "you need to go. I'll still be here, loving you every day, even more than the last."
He smiled at me in adoration, and kissed me sweetly on the lips once again. His lips lingered on mine for what felt like a few seconds, before reluctantly pulling away. He grabbed his suitcase, and pecked my cheek once more, before he began to walk towards the airport entrance.
I felt my heart leave with him, as tears slowly fell from my eyes, as I watched the love of my life walk away from me, once again.

btw, sorry for the lack of updating this past week. Lots of crazy stuff happened in my life, but more updates are on their way!
Q: do you think Ash and Liv will stay together through the long distance? And despite their jobs?
Such an amazing story. I love it.
