Scarlett's POV

My phone buzzes in my pocket, (after I threw it out the window, Andy picked it up and fixed it for me.), and looked down at the message from Andy. I look up and give him a smile. I get tapped on the shoulder and turn around to Oli and Kellin. "Partners?" They ask in sync, I nod and laugh.

"Okay, now that you've all formed groups, the task is to choose a song and preform it on Friday in the auditorium. The group that does the best performance gets to play the lead roles in this year's musical. Alright, begin!" Andy says.

"I'm gonna go see if we can go practice in the hallway." Says Kellin. Oli puts his arm around my waist and smiles.

"What happened with the cops this morning?" Oli asks, caressing my cheek with his thumb.

"Nothing really, just asking about my parents, but don't worry it's taken care of." I say softly.

"As long as you're alright, that's all that matters." He says kissing my lips firmly, he wants to deepen it but I stop him and smirk, kissing his nose.
I feel Andy's glare on Oli, it even sends shivers down my spine. I worry for Oli, I fear that Andy will hurt him. I shake it off and hug Oli. "What's that for?"

"Shh, just hold me." I stay like that for about a minute and then release as Kellin comes back.

"Okay, the staircase." Says Kellin. We follow him down the hall to the stairwell and sit on the landing. "Any ideas on what song to do?"

"I have no ideas right now I'm just ready to go and take a nap." I say.

"You can take a nap on my bed if you want." Says Oli, trying to sound cute, it's working, I just don't want to be here right now. I just want to go somewhere where there's no one.

"Guys, let focus on song ideas." Says Kellin. We both nod.

"How about Dream On by Areosmith?" I ask. "I mean Kellin you have a pretty high voice that you can do that one part I'm pretty sure Oli and I can't do."

"Yes, but I was kind of thinking we could do Smells like Teen Spirit by Nirvana." Says Oli

"Well I was thinking of doing Fuck You by Cee Lo Green." Says Kellin.

"Well how about we doing something different from those, how about Green Day?" I ask and they both nod. "Wake me up when September Ends?"

"Sounds good." Says Kellin

"It's perfect." Says Oli and Kellin kind of gives him the death stare while he's not looking.

"Okay, from the top." I say.


Andy's POV

Juliet texts me continuously about Scar staying with us, I end it telling her I'll ask. I'm really worried now after what Jack said to me. When I hooked up with Rain, my ex, she got along well with Jules. Even though in the end she threatened to tell Jules everything, and I had to take care of her. I don't want the same thing to happen with Scar, she's different. I text Ashley for any updates on the investigation.

I shut my phone and force it into my pocket. If I can't find out through Purdy, then I'll have to do it myself and I'm afraid I'm going to strangle my lead guitarist. I walk out to the hall to think. When I do, Taylor follows. As soon as I close the door she grabs a hold of my hand and places it on her ass.

"Hey, I thought we were going to have fun yesterday." She she cooes seductively. She grabs my length in her hand.

"Sorry, there was an emergency with my wife, she might be pregnant so I need to end this before we go any further." I say, getting away from her grasp.

"So you're just gonna leave me like that, you know I can call the cops and get you arrested."

"But you won't, you wanna know why?"

"Tell me."

"You're chickenshit."

"I will."

"And tell them what? We didn't do anything that would get me thrown in jail."

"You hit on me, that gets you fired."

"That's hearsay. Are we done here or not?"

"They're not going to believe you over me."

"Keep telling yourself that." I walk down the hall to the stairway. I can see how happy she is with her friends, but it still seems fake to me. I think I'm the only one whose seen her truly happy, if only she could be like that all the time. I walk into the stairwell.
"How's this group?"

"Good, I think we're starting to get a hang of it." Says Kellin.

"What song did you pick?"

"Wake me up when September Ends by Green Day." Says Oli.

"Great choice, I'm gonna take a walk, anyone wanna come?" I ask. They all stand up.

"Let's go." Says Scar. I lead everyone out to the parking lot and take out my lighter and a smoke. I light it up and take a long drag.

"So why become a teacher?" Kellin asks, breaking the silence.

"Why not?" I ask back.

"Your wife is famous, you have a band, why not do a collabe with her and become famous yourself?" Asks Scar, I give her a smirk before answering.

"She's cheating on me and I her. Soon we're gonna be bored with living together and get a divorce." I answer.

"Why cheat?" Kellin asks almost furiously.

"She started cheating on me first with my friend Jinxx, ever since I found out it made me feel like I was nothing to her and that our relationship was a joke. So why not cheat?" Why am I opening up to these kids? "I guess it's a good thing we don't have kids."

"Yeah, I guess it is." Mutters Scar.

"Since I'm telling you guys this stuff, tell me about yourselves." I say. "Kellin you're new, why'd you move here?"

"My dad left my mom, my siblings, and me when I was almost four years old. My mom has to work two jobs just to support the six of us. We had to move here because we couldn't afford living where we were anymore." Says Kellin, and here I thought he was just another happy go lucky kid, but it turns out he's just as broken as the rest of us.

"I'm sorry to hear that. And did you say 'the six of us'?" I ask.

"Yes, I have two sisters and two brothers."

"That must be a handful, and you're the oldest?" He nods his head and we both chuckle a bit. "What about you Oli? What's your story?"

"I was born in Ashford, Kent, England, and when I was young my parents moved here. I've known Scarlet since grade one when we went to Elementary School. I remember my first day. The teacher sat me right next to Scarlet and the first thing she said was, 'Don't tell the teacher about Missy.' I didn't know what she meant till she opened up her desk and showed me the little black kitten she was hiding. Back then we got along really well, best friends to be exact." Says Oli.

"I forgot how close we used to be." Says Scar.

"And then in the third grade I kept asking you about the scars on your arms and you got really defensive." Oli says grabbing Scar's hand. "And then we kind of grew to hate each other."

"Well yeah, you got popular and a girlfriend and just left me in the shadows." Says Scar and she retreats to the other side of Kellin.

"So your past intertwines with Scar's." I say. "Scar, wanna share?"

"I had my first boyfriend at the age of fifteen. He was older than me but back then he was the only thing that made me happy other than Nicole. Then, He started being mean to me and I caught him fucking some blonde whore. So I broke up with him and a little while after he moved away." Scar says.

"What do you mean by 'being mean'?" I ask. I'm fishing for details that backs up what Nicole told me.

Her eyes started to swell up and warm tears ran down her cheeks. I wanted to hold her and whisper that everything's okay but I couldn't in front of the others. She cleared her throat to speak. "He hit me, called me a whore and a slut. And when I showed up late he beat me because apparently I was seeing some guy behind his back. I just don't know what went wrong." She cried. Kellin put his arm around her waist and pulled her into a hug. She cried in his chest. Now I know it is true but I still need to know what went wrong.

"Kellin, why don't you take her to go get some water?" I ask and he nods.
Kellin brings her back into the building, leaving me with Oli.

"That just makes me feel worse." Says Oli, which kind of confuses me.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"The beginning of High School, I started dating Taylor and Taylor hates Scarlet. She called her nasty names and pushed her into lockers. I let it happen and even called her names. I didn't know what she was going through, even then I knew it was wrong but I still did it."

"Hey, we're not perfect, only human. You liked Taylor and would do anything at the time to keep her interested in you, I understand. I once was with this girl, Scout was her name, she was completely psycho and hated on one of my friends. She bullied her and I joined in because I really liked her. Soon when I found out she was cheating on me I dumped her and apologized to my friend. Now I'm married to my friend. So maybe you'll get that luck."

"Yes but you and your wife are cheating on each other."

"Doesn't mean I love her even less. We still fuck, even though we're off fucking others. The point is that the spark is not gone, it's just hidden. And if it is gone, I still can say it was an amazing waste of my time."

"So what you're saying is that one day I won't feel as guilty?"

"Yes, how's about we go back in?" Oli nods his head. I step on my cigarette and we go back inside.

"How many?"

"How many what?"

"How many women did you cheat on your wife with?"

"Two."

"Only two?"

"Why does that surprise you?"

"Well it's just that you look like a guy that could get lots of girls."

"I can but I only cheat when it's worth it." Ahead we see Scarlet in the fetus position balling her eyes out while Kellin rubs her back. "Okay go get Kellin and take him back to class.". Oli does as I say and takes Kellin back to class, I walk up to Scar and sit next to her. "You wanna tell me what's on your mind?"

"Yes, so badly, but if I do you'll kill him." She says starring at the ground.

"I already know who your ex is and what he had done. What I don't understand is why you needed to get in contact with him if he did as I heard."

"Who told you about Jake?"

"Nicole and your poem."

"So you saw that, what'd you think?"

"I think that's your art. When one is miserable they tend to take an artistic action. Some cut their wrists and others write down their inner thoughts and feelings. I'm glad you took the less harmful way." That put a warm bright smile on her face. She held her hand in mine and stood up.

"You really know how to cheer me up, thank you." She started walking back to class. I wait a minute before following. There's five minutes left when I sit on my desk.

"Quick announcement!" I yell and everyone becomes quiet. "These songs will be preformed tomorrow and the leads will be announced the day after. Everyone have a nice rest and I'll seek you all tomorrow." The bell rings and Scar still stands.

"Whatcha wanna do now?" She asks.

"Well first I have to go to a staff meeting but after that, a lot of things."

"Good, so what should I do in the meantime?"

"Just stick around the area, then I'll take you home with me. Jules says you can stay with us."

"She likes me enough to let me stay?"

"Apparently. And she said she wanted to help tone your voice for the musical."

"Wait, I'm in the play?"

"Well yeah, you have a great voice. Besides, you're the best student in the class."

"If I wasn't in this class, who would be your best student?"

"Probably Kellin. He seems like a good kid, or Oli."

"Good to know. Text me when you're about to leave." She says kissing my cheek, then leaves the room. I head towards the staff lounge.

"Glad you could make it Mr Biersack." Principal Dawson says.

"Cool it Rian." I tell him.

"No, I don't think I can Andrew. You had a student at your house over night. You're lucky I didn't fire your ass!" Rian yells.

"So you wouldn't help a girl when you found out she was raped more than one time by her father. You wouldn't let her stay in a safe house!"

"I would have called the cops immediately."

"She didn't want to so we didn't."

"I'm sorry. I didn't know about the rape part."

"It's fine, lets just get the meeting over with."

"This meeting is about the budget cuts. Since fewer students are attending the school this year, the school can't afford to buy new equipment."

"So what does that mean about the science department?" Asks Chris.

"Well this effects every department other than science." Says Rian.

"So no money for the tech labs?" Asks Jack

"Or anything of the art departments?" Asks Alex.

"I'm sorry but there's no room in the budget. Any money for the departments will have to be funded." Says Rian.

"This is unbelievable! My art protégés have been wanting to go to the grand art museum in New York, and you're telling me they may not be able to go?" Hayley yells. God she looks hot when she's pissed. I stand up, causing the rest to sit and listen to what was going to come out of my mouth.

"Williams, simmer down. I had plans for the musical that I no longer a money in the budget for too. Let's just do as Rian says and raise the money. Come on, it'll be good for the kids to go out into the real world and earn money for things important to them." I say.

"Biersack's right, it would be educational." Jack says backing me up.

"Thanks." I say.

"So is this meeting over and done with?" Alex asks.

"Yes, everyone have a good night and drive safely." Says Rian. I walk out of the room and Jack follows.

"You wanna go get drinks, me and Hayley were thinking about going to the clubs tonight, you in?" Jack asks.

"Can't going out with my girl." I answer.

"Which, wifey of mistress?"

"That's your names for them?"

"Yeah, pretty much."

"Not my wife."

"You gonna tell me about your mistress?"

"What do you wanna know?"

"Name, age, job, height, weight, and bra size."

"What the hell?"

"What, I wanna know."

"I'll tell you her nickname, height, and age."

"Fine."

"Her nickname's Scar, she's 5'4, and she's seventeen."

"Seventeen? Is she Scarlet Kanes?"

"Keep it down."

"So Rian was right."

"Yes, but I wasn't joking about the things with her father."

"Dude it's illegal."

"You're saying you've never done it?"

"I said nothing like that."

"So you get what's on the line?"

"Yeah, dude this could destroy you."

"No, this is different, she is different. I don't know, when I with her I get this feeling. I feel strong and weak at the same time, calm but nervous, I don't know what it is about her but she does that to me."

"Dude, I'm pretty sure a little of what you said comes from the Spider-Man movie."

"So you'll keep it down?"

"Yes, but remember that with great power comes great responsibility." We both chuckle and I walk off out to my car. I take out my phone and text Scar.

I waited ten minutes and no reply. I start to get worried and call her but she doesn't pick up. I call Jules and she picks up.

"What's up Andy, I'm about to start recording?" She asks.

"So Scarlet's not with you?" I ask.

"No, why would she be?" I hang up before answering her and call Ashley.

"Hey." Says Ash.

"Do you know where Scarlet is?" I asks.

"No, dude calm down what's happening?" I hang up, I don't have time to answer any questions. I have to find her. What if Jake took her? I jump into my car and drive to Jake and Ella's apartment. I knock on the door, he answers.

"What's up Andy, I thought we weren't meeting up till Saturday?" He asks and I punch him in the nose."What the fuck man?"

"You took her! Where is she?!" I yell.

"Who are you talking about?" I punch him in the eye this time.

"Scarlet! I know what you did to her, not cool!" I yell.

"I don't know where she is Andy. And everything I did in the past happened under the influence of heroine. You have to know that I never meant to hurt her. You knew I used to be an addict, I told you that as soon as you put me in the band."

"Well do you have any idea of where she might be?"

"She has an aunt. Her name's Carla. I met her only once but Scar told me she really enjoyed her company."

"Thanks, and never call her Scar again or I'll make that little soon to be wife of yours disappear."

"Yes sir." He says closing the door. I run back to my car and take out my phone. I call Jack. He answers.

"What's up Andy?" He asks.

"Are you still at the school?" I ask.

"Yeah, haven't left. Why?"

"I need you to go into Scarlet's file and find the contact information for her aunt."

"Dude, I can't just go into some girl's file without a logical reason."

"She's missing."

"Okay I'm looking in the secretary's files, is it under S or K?"

"It should be K."

"It's not here."

"Check under S."

"Her file isn't here."

"Fuck! Okay you're going to need to go into Rian's office. It was probably moved there from the cops this morning."

"Okay, I've got it. The number is 425-743-7969, haha 69."

"Thanks Jack."

"You owe me." I hang up the phone and call the number. It rings three times before answering.

"Hello?" She had a low voice, it was a smooth as Scar's.

"Hello, I'm looking for Scarlet Kanes." I say, I hear the phone being passed over.

"Hello?" It's Scar!

"Scar, where the hell did you go? I've been looking all over for you! I called you and you didn't answer."

"Yeah, my phone died. When I got out of the school I saw my aunt. She's moving into town to look after me. Oh she wants to know if you'd like to go out to dinner with us tonight."

"I'd love to but you should have called me Scar, I got worried."

"I'm so sorry."

"Prove it later. Call me when you're going out to dinner."

"Okay, bye." I hung up and sat in my car. She's okay. I switch on the radio and End of the World plays through the car.

*Flashback*
"Fuck you Jules! Why the hell did you have to fuck one of my best friends?! I loved you and then you betray me like that! I hate you!" I shout. She stands there shaking, cold tears running down her cheeks. Barely able to get a word out.

"Andy I was drunk. It was a mistake. I never meant to hurt you. I love you." She says grabbing onto my hand.

"I loved you too, but I want a divorce." I push her hand away from me.

"No you're not, we are not getting a divorce. You need me. I can help get your band famous Andy. Just give me time and I'll make your dreams come true. If not I'll make sure you and the rest of Black Veil Brides never make it in a stage."

"That's a pretty large threat for such an afraid little girl."

"Andy think of the opportunities I can get you." She's right, I can use her.

"Fine, but if I find you sleeping around again, I'll slit your throat in your sleep." I walk out of the room, slamming the door behind me.
*Flashback Finished*

I unlock the door to my apartment to find Jules sitting on the couch with a bottle of whiskey in hand. "Hey, so are you going to go through with your promise?" I ask. She looks up at me.

"Yes, I've got this gig tomorrow night, you guys are opening for me, then I was thinking we could do that song of yours, Lost it All, together." She says placing the bottle on the table.

"Thanks." I say turning around to my bedroom to get my laptop.

"So did you find out where Scarlet disappeared to?"

"Yeah, her aunt picked her up from school, so she's gonna stay with her now."

"You know the apartment downstairs got purchased today. They asked us out for dinner tonight."

"Can't I promised Scar I'd go with her and her aunt."

"Exactly." She says as I enter back into the room with my laptop.

"Her Aunt bought it?"

"Yep, oh and we're going somewhere fancy tonight so wear something classy."

"Will do." I don't know what it is, but I have a feeling that something bad is going to happen tonight.
