I Swear I'll Never Let You Die
Danielle Amy Biersack
I glanced over at passengers side of my car, smiling as I watched Danielle brush a piece of her long hair back. Her skin was creamy and pale like Jasey's and mine. Her eyes scanned the scenery in front of her with sadness which gave me worry.
Danielle was one of the top dancers in the state of California right now and the pressure was more than normal kids had to deal with. Especially when your dad is a rockstar.
I glanced in the mirror at his son I'd just picked up from hockey. Devon Chris Biersack. He looked just myself and I could see in his eyes that one day he'd do great things.
Jasey was home with our youngest, Hailey Rose. She was only four months old and all of our time was spent taking care of her.
So I decided today, after Dani's dance and Devon's hockey practice that I'd take them for frozen yogurt.
"What's up Dani?" I asked as she drew her knees to her chest.
"I don't know. I'm just tired." She sighed.
"You didn't have hockey all day!" Devon said.
"But I had dance! And I have a competition coming up, so mom and I practice all the time!" Danielle frowned.
"Well, Dani, if you love it you have to work for it." I said, pulling into the yogurt stores parking lot. They jumped out of the car and I followed, ruffling Devon's hair.
About two hours later we were back home. Jasey was on the phone with Hailey on her hip. "Hey babe.." I said watching as she waved me off.
I sighed before collapsing on the couch. Plaques of all my records lined the walls. Six in counting. We were working on another one and I knew my kids felt like I was ignoring them.
I stood up to go to my office and sat down in my chair. Jasey and I was my background on my laptop and just seeing her smile made me smile.
After about an hour of returning emails I felt a pair of arms wrap around my neck and sighed, happily. Jasey seated herself on my lap and kissed my temple. "What's going on babe?" I asked.
"Not much." She said, laying her head on mine. "How's Dani doing? She's got a big competition next weekend."
"She's tired." I said, nuzzling my face in her neck.
"Yeah.." Jasey sighed. "I figured."
"Maybe she's working too hard." I shrugged.
She thought for a moment, "Tomorrow, I'll take her shopping. She needs to relax for a day."
"That's a good idea. Devon and I will take care of Hailey." I smiled.
"That sounds good." She nodded before leaning back ontomy shirt clad chest.
