Andy's P.O.V
Following the ambulance to the hospital, I could feel my heart pounding in my head, changing my eye vision to the rhythm. Was she going to be okay? Of course not Andy! She was just brutality raped. I waited for countless hours after we had arrived as AddiLynn got prescribed pain relievers and got a rape kit test done.
"You can go in now sir, she's awake. " A short and chubby nurse came out to me. "Thank you" I replied, nodding my head and walking passed her. As I walked in, AddiLynn's tired eyes set upon me, I watched as a smile of relief appeared on her face. When I got up to her, she frowned as she started to speak. "And...Andy I"- I cut her off.
"It's okay. You're gonna be okay. Listen babygirl, I want you to come home with me when they discharge you. You're not going back there to get hurt again. I'm gonna protect you. You're safe now. I'm never gonna let that asshole hurt you again. " I watched a smile instantly appear on her face as she nodded in agreement, but tears swelled in her eyes as she started to speak. "Andy I really sho"-
"AddiLynn baby, we'll talk about this later. You just focus on recovering. " I smiled at her, even when she was at her worst she was incredibly beautiful. "And...Andy... Lay with me?" Her soft, innocent, sweet accent pleading. I nodded and slowly helped her move over to the side so I wouldn't hurt her. I crawled into the hospital bed with her. I felt her tenseness disappear as she rested her upper body on my chest, face into my neck, and as I wrapped my arms around her.
This felt so right.
"Andy" her voice trailing off as the pain medicine was putting her to sleep. "Just rest baby. " I protested "Is it weird that you already make me feel so safe?" I thought for a moment, then the answer was clear. "No, because I'm gonna be the one to protect you."
AddiLynn had fallen asleep, but I stayed and cuddled her. She was amazing in every possible way. I looked up as her doctor came in, I put a finger to my lips, telling him to be quiet. He nodded and walked in.
"What's up doc?" I joked. He chuckled. "We have some bad news" He said "Your girlfriend here is
pregnant."
