You've Gotta Help Me Doc.
Please, do tell.
Lucille's POV
"How've you been, Andrew?" I fought the urge to smirk, trying to be more profession than I was being at that moment. My heels clicked across the hardwood floor and to my desk where I sat down and rolled over to his chair on the wheels.
He looked different in a good, yet suspicous way.
Hair slicked back.
Eyebrows raised.
Unfadeable smile.
So suspicious.
"Good... great actually." That chilling smile penetrated my soul, turning my stomach upside down and making my heart float into my throat.
"So what have you been do-"
He suddenly just laughs. A frightening cackle that echoes against the walls.
"Oops... sorry." He grins again.
"Andy, what are you on?"
His face goes blank and pale within seconds.
"What do you mean?"
"You know what I mean." I roll my eyes and lean forward to pay more attention.
He sits up and chuckles, his hand moving towards a loose curl of my hair.
"Is red your natural hair color?"
I nod, wishing he would just answer me so we could get this over with and I could move on to my next patient. Part of me just wanted this to end but part of me found him charming and wanted him to stay.
"Why do you cover it up?"
"Why do you cover up your blonde?" I use the tip of my pen to motion towards his raven hair.
"This is just a 'sometimes' thing, but yours," He slowly twistes the curl around his finger. His shoulders push forward and he leans in like I had, but the way he did it made it look like he was a father talking down to his daughter.
"This just looks like you're hiding something."
I tried to swallow my heart that wouldn't sink to my chest.
"What are you hiding, Ms. Jacobs? Please, do tell."
