I Guess Dreams Can Come True

She walked right over to a side of the bed then looked at me.

“… I’m sleeping in here, right?...” She said innocently, was she kidding?! Of course, she was! I climbed into bed, and looked her in the eye.

“I don’t know… maybe…” I said, then pulled her into the bed beside me, she laughed for a second, then she got comfortable and we faced each other. I looked into her deep, green, eyes and smiled. God, I loved this girl! Every time I even think about her I get butterflies in my stomach. I reached over and gave her a soft kiss, then she snuggled closer to me and rested her beautiful head on my chest and wrapped one arm around me, while the other one was occupied, playing with my hair.

“I love you, Kate.” I whispered, she tiled her head so she could look at me, and kissed me

“And I love you more, my prince.” I half smiled then shifted to get a bit more comfortable, and relaxed. Kate snuggled her head back into my chest. She started tracing designs lightly on my stomach with her fingers, that made me jump a little bit at first, then of course she found that just hilarious, so I had to laugh too, even though I was still blushing because I jumped. After she calmed her giggles she was quite for a minute, then spoke up.

“Ya know, I’ve only ever let YOU get this close to me before. I wouldn’t even let Landon snuggle with me, not that he ever wanted to… But if he had wanted to I would probably just back up slowly… And he doesn’t even know a thing about my parents…” She said, hesitantly.

“How long were you two together?” I asked, it seemed like he should have known if they had been together for too long, but I had to at least know how long they were together before I make any judgment.

“3 years.” She said then shrugged. Are. You. Kidding. Me. Wow, this guy is an idiot! I wish I could’ve dented his face in before Kate got in the way, I feel bad for getting even that close to hurting her, but I don’t feel bad about hurting Landon, he deserves it.

“Well he’s an a-… retard…” I stopped, I didn’t want her getting upset. She shook her head, but didn’t say anything. I played with Kate’s hair, a small bit, then I looked down to see her eyes flutter shut, I smiled slightly then leaned over and turned off the light. She was still awake though, because when I laid down completely, she did the same, then snuggled back into my chest again. I kissed her on top of her head, then closed my eyes too.

IN THE MORNING

“Baby?” I heard a sweet voice say, then I felt her kiss me softly, obviously still trying not to disturb me too much, but she needed my attention. I opened my eyes slowly, to see my little angel looking at me innocently.

“I’m sorry, I just wanted to tell you it’s somewhat late, and I need to go to work, I’ll stop by somewhere and get food… Do you need anything while I’m out today? Please don’t try to do too much, you’re still crippled.” She said with a small smirk.

“Take my car, my keys are on the kitchen counter, I’ll make you something quickly before you go, and nope, but thanks.” I said with a smile, usually I’m not a morning person, but just seeing my princess in the morning wakes me right up, and makes my day.

“Oh, no. I don’t need your car, I’ll just take a bus, you don’t have to make me anything, I don’t want you getting up, and are you sure?” She said to me, obviously concerned.

“Please take it, it’ll make me feel better, I’m going to get up either way, and I want to do something for you, so I’m going to make you something for breakfast, and yes, I’m sure.” She just scoffed after I said that, finally. She agreed to something I said. I got started to get up, then noticed Kate was watching me like a hawk.

“Kate, it’s fine. I’m fine. I’m not going to get hurt by standing up, the doctors let me home because they know I’ll be just fine.” I said with a small laugh, it was nice to see someone care about me this much.

“I know, but-“ Then I cut her off.

“Just get dressed for work or whatever you need to do while I’m making you something, okay?” I know I was being a bit abrupt, but doing things would make her stop worrying about me, less stress on her. She nodded, clearly seeing what I was trying to do, then grabbed some clothes, and I walked downstairs. I got out some bread and eggs and made her French toast, she came downstairs just as it was done, beautiful as ever, I whistled at her, causing her to blush and look down. I shook my head, people have done this to her. Lowered her self confidence to where it makes her embarrassed just to get a simple compliment. I got her a plate ready, she sat down at the table and I handed it to her, I leaned over the table, and she kissed me.

“Thanks.” She said with a smile on her face, I nodded my head, then started cleaning up.

“Aren’t you going to have anything, babe?” She questioned me.

“I’m not very hungry today.” She nodded her head too, understanding. I usually don’t eat too much of a breakfast anyway. As soon as she got done she got up and put her plate in the sink, then grabbed her bag. I walked over and hugged her, then kissed her.

“Have a good day at work, love.” I said with a half smile on my face.

“Thanks, and please be carful.”

“will do.” I shook my head and said. She started walking out of the door.

“Don’t forget Stitch!” I yelled after her on her way out, she gave a thumbs up, and continued walking, I laughed, and walked into the front room, I was still a bit tired so I walked over and put on Batman Returns, and laid down. I fell asleep quickly, with Crow on my lap. I woke up around 4 hours later, the movie on repeat. I got up, and so did Crow, it was around 2 already, wow. Well, Kate should be home in a few hours. I decided to text Chance.

‘Hey.’
‘Hey, what’s up?’
‘Nothing much, just waiting for Kate to get home. Bored. You?’
‘Cool, and bored too.’
‘Want to go to dinner with Kate and I once she gets back home, or something?’
‘Sure, where?’
‘Idk, I’ll ask her once she gets home then I’ll let you know.’
‘Okay, cool.’

I walked upstairs and decided I should probably take a shower again, I walked into my closet and grabbed some jeans, a misfits muscle T shirt, and a black belt with silver blocks on it. I set them on my bed with my phone, then headed for the shower. –AFTER THE SHOWER- I got out and grabbed a towel, drying myself off, and drying off my hair, then I wrapped it around my waist, and walked into my room (The rooms are connected). I grab my phone off the bed and realize I had a few texts from Kate, I checked them immediately.

‘Work. I’m. So. Done.’
‘Answer yo phone, Andy! XD’
‘Stitch is excited to be in a real home tonight <3’

I finally answered.

‘Hey, just got out of the shower, sorry. Well, can’t wait for both of you tonight. I miss you already!’

She answered asap, she seemed like she needed a break from work.

‘It’s fine, glad you didn’t just sleep your day away, but still be carful please. And I miss you too already!’

I laughed a little bit, even via text she’s still adorable!

‘I’m taking you out to dinner tonight, love. You pick.’
‘Awee, thanks cx Well, I can pick once I’m home?’
‘That’s fine (:’

I set down my phone then got dressed, I walked into the bathroom after that and fixed my midnight hair. I looked in the mirror for a moment, which I probably shouldn’t… I had problems as a kid with depression, and just looking at myself brings some of the old memories back… As soon as a bad thought came back to my head I turned my face quickly away from the mirror, then walked out of the bathroom and into the bedroom, to see Crow waiting for me on my bed. I laid down on the bed, laying on my stomach, so I could see Crow. Then I guess I fell asleep like that, because I woke up to kitten whiskers softly touching my nose, but it tickled.

“Crow, stop. Let me be, sleep with me too.” I felt the whiskers again.

“Crow, please!” I slurred because I was so tired, then I heard a small giggle. I lifted my head to see my love standing in front of me, with Stitch. I half smiled, I was trying to actually smile but everything was still a bit foggy considering I just woke up.

“Hello, my lovely lady.” I greeted the love of my life.
