The Fallen One

An Angel Gets Her Wings...

Lexi's POV: When we arrive back at the tour bus, Andy and Ashley help me carry my new stuff inside, and put it all away, but when it comes to my jewelry, I'm not sure where to put it, so it won't go missing or get broken. Ashley holds the answer to this predicament though.
From behind his back he pulls out a black and purple coffin shaped jewelry box. I thank him, smiling rather shyly up at him, then he opens the box and holds it, while I put my new jewelry inside. When I'm done, I take it from him, and put it in the drawer below my bunk, with my accessories and undergarments.
"I'm going to change real quick. I'll be right back," I say to them, as I grab some new undergarments and a new outfit from my bunk drawers, then bolt to the bathroom in the back of the bus. I quickly change into the outfit, then slip my boots back on, and head back out, passing the clothes I'd borrowed from Ashley back to him.
"You look good," Ashley says, as I bend down to grab my jewelry box and change out the jewelry I had been wearing. I then pass Ashley his jewelry back and thank him for both letting me use it and the compliment.
I wear a lot of jewelry, so I have a number of rings, and a couple necklaces on, and earrings. I used to love jewelry, but when I was in Heaven the only jewelry we were allowed to wear were crosses. Gold crosses at that, and gold never was a color that looked good on me.
Once I'm ready, I ask them if they could teach me how to be a Fallen Angel. Yeah, kind of a strange request, but I'm still learning. Never been something like this before.
They happily agree to my request, then we head out to the front room, where Andy stops and tells the guys what we're up to. CC's the first to jump up and say he's going, with a huge grin on his face.
"I have to see this one," he says, grinning down at me, then the others follow us out to the alleyway behind the venue.
I watch in silence as they check around the area, but have no clue what they're looking for. Then Andy says, "All clear," and I ask them.
Ashley's the first to answer, with, "Well, we don't need a camera catching us teaching you how to fly and fight, now do we?"
"Fighting wouldn't be so bad, but the flying would be," Andy says, walking over to us.
"True," Ashley replies to him, with a nod of agreement.
"Fly?" I ask, and they nod, "I can't fly. Those body building Angel's ripped my wings off. I saw them lying on the floor in front of me. I felt the pain. I don't have wings anymore."
"The Hell you don't!" Ashley calls out, then he reaches behind me, and I flinch when I feel his touch, though he's not actually touching me. It actually feels like he's stroking my wings, but I see nothing. How can that be?
"Wait, so you really can't see your own wings? How about ours?" Andy asked, in astonishment, while the others look at me in confusion.
"I...I can see yours and Ashley's, but can only feel mine when they're being touched. Other than that, I can't see or feel them," I explain, feeling rather stupid. What Angel, Fallen or not, can't see or feel their own wings? What's wrong with me?
Andy rubs the back of his neck, while Ashley sighs, closing his brown eyes. CC and Jake look at each other in confusion, but Jinxx...His reactions so much more different than the others. He looks at me for a moment, then walks over and stands behind me.
"I'm sorry, but this is going to hurt," he tells me, then he touches my back and a burning pain runs through me, but I'm paralyzed and can't move an inch away from the pain. I cry out, begging him to stop, but he continues doing whatever it is he's doing. I can't think. I can't breathe. It hurts worse than anything I've ever felt before, including getting my wings ripped from my back. Then the pain stops, and my world fades to black.
Ashley's POV: How can she not see or feel her own wings? That's not possible. All Angels, including Fallen Angels, can feel and see their own wings. That's just not normal.
Jinxx appears to know what's going on, then walks behind her and says, "I'm sorry, but this is going to hurt," then places his hands on her wings, and she screams loudly. She begs for him to stop, but he doesn't, and then she passes out.
I quickly catch her, before she hits the ground and ask Jinxx in a calm tone, "What was that?"
"I was unblocking the part of her mind that is blocking out the ability to see and feel her wings. When she wakes up, which should be any second now, she'll see her wings and be able to use them," he explains, walking back to Jake and CC.
I look at him as if he's lost his mind, then Lexi stirs and I look back to her. She slowly opens her silvery-blue eyes, then quietly asked, "Wh-What happened?"
"Jinxx. Sit up, if you can," I tell her, and she follows my instructions. She looks behind her to look at me, but her large blue-tipped, black wings are in her line of vision, and I know she can see them now, since her eyes widen, and she touches them ever so gently.
She smiles, then looks at the tips and asked, "Why are the tips of my wings blue?"
"That's something we don't have an answer for," Andy answers.
"How about you, Jinxx? Any idea?" she asked, looking over at him.
"No. Every Fallen Angel I've ever encountered had black leathery wings. Not fluffy, black and blue wings. I've never seen anything like it," he tells her.
"Maybe something went wrong when I fell," she says.
"No. I can tell you right now, nothing went wrong," I counter.
"If anything, something went right," Andy adds on.
"How can you know that, if you've never seen anything like this?" she asked.
"Because it means you're different. You're special compared to all the other Fallen Angels out there. It means you're going to do great things," Andy says, as if he's not quite all there in the head.
"What the Hell are you on?" I demand, looking at Andy.
He looks at me in confusion, then blinks a couple times, and asked, "What?"
"You had another premonition. Didn't you?" I say, and he simply nods. Great. Well, at least we know what her wings mean now.
