Wheelchair for a Angel

Chapter One

[°Carson P.O.V.°]

The sand between my toes and the warm Sun in my back reminds me that today is the last day of summer. Or as I think of it, last day of freedom and peace. Let me introduce myself, I am Carson Piper Williams. I'm 14 young, 5'6 in height, and my weight is non of your concern. My dark brown hair reaches the lower part of my back and my eyes are blue; so blue that you can see them shin bright even in the darkest night.

Me and my mother are more like sisters than mother and daughter. She is my backbone and I am the same for her. With no father in my life honestly has not effect on me. If he truly cared about us he would be here. My mom will not tell me anything about my father just because he is not a part of my upbringing. It doesn't matter though, I don't need him and obviously doesn't need me.

My dream is to move to Los Angeles and become a dancer. Dance is my life. Everything I do revolves around dance. When you live in a small town in California you don't have many choices of dance studios. I will never be able to thank my mom enough for letting me go to a studio outside of our tiny little town.

My feet walked the line of where the water and sand meet. My right foot wet and my left foot dry. I threw my hands up in the air and relaxed my head backwards. This is it. After today I go back to hell. The bright yellow sun was disappearing from sight in a fiery red glow. "Carson, baby, it's time to leave. You have school tomorrow and I have work." My uncontrolled down the beach.

I lowered my hands and stared out into the water for one last time. I needed to engrave this image into my brain so I never forget it. Once I was sure I did my job properly I began the walk with my mom to our car. I buckled myself into the passenger seat and my mother buckled herself in the driver's seat.

By now the sun was officially gone and the little stars were sprawled everywhere. I watched the stars fly by as my mom concentrated on the road ahead. Suddenly the bright light of two headlights shone in the eyes of mine and my mom's. A car horn honked and swerving sounds flew through the wind like a butter knife cutting through butter.

Then it all drifted away from me.
