Spin the Bottle

Chapter 3

-Ashley's POV-

I couldn't believe it. Andy liked me? Out of all the girls he could have had, out of all the hearts he had stolen, he liked me? I was the plain, simple, ordinary brown sparrow next to him, a sleek raven with gleaming feathers. Not to mention those gorgeous blue eyes of his. It seemed too good to be true.
"Really?" I asked, not wanting to let him out of this hug.
"Really, Ashley. Honestly, I think I'm falling in love with you. Will you be my boyfriend?"
"You don't need to ask, Andy," I responded, tipping my head up so that our lips could meet. Of course, this was when Jake and CC decided to walk in.
"Um, are we, uh, interrupting something?" CC stuttered. I pulled out of the kiss, but Andy's arms stayed around me.
"Ashley and I are together," Andy told them. Jake and CC appeared shocked.
"Uh, congrats," Jake said at last. "May I question how all of this happened?" So Andy and I explained how these wonderful events occurred.
"Well, I'm happy for you two," CC announced afterward. Jinxx walked in with Sammi by his side and grinned.
"Glad to see things worked out. Is everyone ready to go home?"

-Time Skip-Jake is dropping people off at their houses, him, Ashley, and Andy are the only ones left in the car-

"You can just let me out here," I said, moving quickly out of the car so they couldn't ask questions.
"Woah, woah, woah, slow down there," Andy told me, grabbing my waist and pulling me back into the seat. "Where's your house?"
"U-up the road," I lied, biting my lip. I was a terrible liar, and besides, it was unbearable to do that to Andy. I didn't want them to find out, though.
"Then why don't we drop you off there?"
"It's fine, I can walk from here." I wriggled out of Andy's grasp, but Jake locked the door.
"Ashley, tell us what's up. You wouldn't let me drop you off last time, either. What's going on?" I sighed.
"You're really not going to let me out?"
"Not until you tell the truth." I sat back down in defeat.
"I-I don't have a house."
"Wait, so we dumped you off on the side of the road last week?!" Andy gasped. I shook my head.
"No, here's the story from the beginning. First off, I'm not even from this area. I hardly know where we are right now. Where I live-or used to live, anyway-being gay is not acceptable. So of course, when I came out to my parents, they kicked me out. I packed my bags, gathered as much cash as I could find, and took a taxi to somewhere far away. There was an inn that needed help, so I'm helping the owners manage it in return for lodging. My money is running out, I take odd jobs whenever I can to earn extra for food and clothes and stuff. I didn't want you guys to know. I'm sorry I didn't tell you before," I apologized.
"Ashley," Andy said quietly. "I will do anything I can to help you with this, understand me? I will find a way to get you a real home. I promise."

Notes

Sorry this was kind of short, I was running out of time. Hope everyone liked it!
