I walked into the gym with my best friend on my arm, The strobe lights were going on and off and both grins came on i and Gary's face. "Lets step into the future." I gave a nod as we took one step on to the dance floor with laughter clapping our hands to 'Live while we are young' guessing its One something direction. I twirled around swaying my hips to and fro nudging it to Gary as he did the same.
"Anna." I turned my head seeing Markus with a small smile, he was my you can say 'high-school' crush. He had a perfect jaw structure, his lips were full and delicious. His grey eyes complimenting his black suit and green tie. "I uh heard you are going to stay here; Standford. So am i."
"That's amazing Markus." I laughed bobbing my head to and fro. "Congrats."
He licked his lips and brushed his short hair back. "Wanna dance?" He asked placing his hands in pockets as he shrugged wiggling his brows. "Or is Kellin here?"
"They broke up!" Gary yelled sliding pass us.
I gave a laugh and lowered my head. "We kinda broke up during warped tour- i would love to dance with you." He gave a nod lowering himself holding hand. "Thank you dear sir."
"Of course milady." He chuckled kissing my hand softly. "I always wanted to that." I burst from laughter and so did he. He placed one hand on my lower back as the other entwine with mine. Taylor's Swift's 'Everything has changed' began to play. I gave a soft laugh and he twirled me around and pressed me back to his chest. "I like this song."
"It is catchy. " Kinda reminds me of my life at this moment.
"I just wanna know you better- know you- know you better now." He softly sings resting his head on my shoulder, i could not help but blush crimson. "I can't believe i am dancing with the home coming queen, head cheer leader and student body president."
"I can't believe i am dancing with the captain of the football team." I mumbled softly.
"It was a tradition that the captain and the head cheer leader should date, guess we never got to that hey, too busy with friends, and for you a busy family with press following you non stop."
"Ha!" i chuckled. "You have no idea." He twirled me around again just as the song stopped and Selena Gomez 'Slow Down' began to play. "I can't dance to this."
"Just move your hips pretty boy!" Gary bellowed as i laughed moving my body to the music. I twirl myself around and stopped seeing Andy gazing at me, anger risen upon his expression. "Dude!" My best friend caught my wrist turning me around.
"Baby slow down this song!" We all yell jumping up and down.
"Ladies and gents!" Our head master yelled as the music calmed down. "And its here, your votes are in!"
"I got this in the bag." Kara scoffed flipping her hair in my face making me cough. Markus rolled his eyes as he stood behind me resting his head on my shoulder once again.
"What bag?" Gary snapped turning to her. "You have a bag?"
"Prom King is!"The head master yelled. "Non other than our quarterback Markus James the third!" I laughed softly clapping my hands as Markus walked up to the stage. Vice Principal Donna placed the crown on his head handing him a long golden stick thing, i have no idea what it is. I cocked my head to one side nudging my best friend.
"It looks like a penis." Gary muttered shaking his head side to side. "A golden penis."
"Prom Queen! Valid Victorian, Student Body president and Merit Scholar our very own Anastasia Biersack."
I turned to Kara and gave a pout. "Got it in the bag." I gave a wink and walked up to the stage. I lowered myself as Donna placed the crown on my head.
"Ladies and gents, prom king and queen of 2012!" I turn towards my dad- i mean Andy and Jake, both smiles on their faces.
"Your bag is huge!" Gary yelled hard pushing Kara into the twins. "Woo!!"
I gave a pout holding out my peace sign as the camera flashed. "Shall we dance?"
"We shall." I curtsied. Markus lead me down the stairs as everyone cleared the dance floor for us. Norah Jones 'Don't know why' blasted through the speakers as Markus leaded with the dance. "I like this."
"Its catchy." He whispered staring me deep into my blue eyes. He quickly looked away blushing crimson. "You look amazing." He turned back to me pressing his cheek to mine as i close my eyes. For once i did not feel like a rock stars daughter, i felt like a normal girl who got it in the 'bag'
