Marcy decided to take us up on our offer, while Morgan opted to be with her friend. She didn't, however, participate in our conversations, or even look up from her note book that she was sketching in.
"Marciline, are you okay?" Andy asked, sitting next to her under the tree we always sat near.
"yeah." Again she didn't look up. I sighed and walked over, brushing the hair from in front of her eye, she looked farther down so i could/t see her face.
'Marcy, let me see." She shook her head and pulled her hood over her head, pulling the strings in, "Marcy now."
"No." I shrugged, picked her up, carried her bridal style away from the group, nut i guess she didn't like it because she wrapped her arms around my neck and buried her head in my neck.
"Ash, please?"
"No, let me see." I put her down on the back seat of my truck, turned the heater on, and turned back to her.
"let me see."
"Please, don't." I pulled the hood away from her face, this time she didn't fight me. her right eye was black and swollen almost shut, a long cut went down from her cheek to her throat. i pulled her sweatshirt off over her head and looked at her arms, bruises, cuts obviously from a knife, and welts. I looked at her wrist to find what looked like cigarette burns.
"Who?" I ground out as she pulled her jacket back on.
'Ash-"
"Who fucking did this to you?" She looked down and muttered something.
'What?"
"My brother." She said more clearly, tears shimmered in her eyes. I pulled her onto my lap, her head went to the crook of my neck, but she didn't cry, i rubbed her back anyways.
'You can't live with him anymore." i whispered in her ear.
'I don't have anywhere to go."
"Come stay with me, just for a little."
