We Don't Belong
Chapter 9
Rose's POV:
*Dream*
Ashes are floating down like snow. Gently, softly, soundlessly.
The sky burns with the smoke of the fires raging across the earth.
The wind is hollowed, blowing with the whispers of those lost in the storm.
My footsteps echo bleakly off of the make-shift dirt road.
I'm not sure where I am, all I know is that I'm running. Running from a monster. It's dark, looming shadow chases after me, urging me to go faster. A deadly game of cat and mouse, one of which my grisly fate is fast-approaching.
I make a sharp turn behind a dead tree. Everything in this land is dead, and soon, I will too. I can feel it.
Continuing with my sprinting, the destroyed remnants of civilization make an appearance suddenly; the fires still burn on all of the rooftops. I run through this axe-like city, turning every so often to try to confuse the horrid creature chasing after me. I risk a glance behind my shoulder, and see the black void of the monster's shadow, less than ten feet away from me. I open my mouth to shriek, but am met with a concrete wall. A dead end.
Stumbling down onto the hard, cold ground. A darkness entombs my body and my surrounding as the creatures slowly approaches me. I make myself into a ball, hiding my head in between my legs, when a haunting voice sounds. It's melodic voice echoes throughout me every fibre, making me shiver involuntarily.
And then I lost it all,
I'm dead and broken,
Backs against the wall,
Cut me open
At that phrase, the creature extends a boney arm, using it's knife-like fingers to swiftly swipe across my ribcage. I gasp and swallow a scream as my skin and clothing is ripped open. Blood flows out of the tear in my body, and I feel like I'm being shredded apart.
I'm just trying to breath
Just trying to figure it out
Because I built these walls to watch them crumbling down
The wall behind me makes a cracking sound, and I shut my eyes tightly, just as the wall breaks apart, and topples on top of me. Rubble and debris crush my bare ribs, and the dust chokes me and stings my lungs.
I said
Then I lost it all
Who can save me now?
Blue eyes appear behind the creatures shoulders, and then its gone. The dark monster is gone, and the suns rays penetrate the dark clouds, shining around the blue-eyed stranger. He bends down, and I realize that the weight of the crumbled wall is gone. The handsome stranger, picks me up, and begins to walk back toward the main streets, the once excrutiating pain, gone.
I believe that we all fall down sometimes
I gasp awake, the blue eyed man still evident in my brain. His eyes, they were mesmerizing, and simply beautiful. But they were also familiar. Where have I seen eyes like that before? And there was a song of some sort, lyrics, as well.
My mouth flies open at my sudden realization . It was Andy Biersack.
Notes
Hey sorry this is really short!
I have to go to bed early since I have a high school orientation tomorrow, and I just really felt like writing out this chapter.
I loved writing this, but feel really bad that its so short
Tomorrow I won't be able to update as much, but I can promise that it will be long!
This is so awesome! XD
