He Has My Heart

Rileys POV

I paced around my bathroom nervously. Waiting for this fucking pregnancy test to be ready.
How does three minutes feel like three hours?
I exited bathroom and stripped the bed of its sheets, just to distract myself from the test.
Ashley had already left for the studio so I was left alone. The bar was closed so I had nothing to do today.
I put fresh sheets on the bed and went back into the bathroom to check the test.
There it was. That stupid little dash. Negative.
I knew this was going to be hard, but this was ridiculous. Me and Ashley were having sex most nights. He was having a field day, but I wasn't enjoying it as much. Doing it is fun, but I'm still hoping to fall pregnant. It was really discouraging me. I probably can't have kids.
I threw out the ninth pregnancy test I had taken in the past two weeks and put on work out clothes.
I was just about to head downstairs when there was a knock at the door. I flicked the lock and saw Kimber, with a smile playing on her face.
"Hey Kimmie, what you doing here?" I asked moving out the way to let her in.
"I have the biggest news! I have been dying to tell you for weeks, but I wanted to make sure before I said anything."
"Spill dude! Stop building the anticipation!" I said dragging her over to the couch.
"I'm pregnant!"
I knew I should be happy for her, but my heart sunk. I was hoping my face wasn't displaying this.
"Oh my God, Kimmie! That's amazing! Have you told CC?!" I said as excitedly as possible.
"Yeah, he knows. I just didn't wanna say anything till I was three months along. I called him though, so he could tell the guys."
"Wait, you've been pregnant for three months and you didn't tell me?!" I said jokingly outraged.
"I didn't wanna say till I was sure. I just can't believe this is happening. Do you know how hard it has been not being able to drink at the bar?"
I gasped when the thought clicked. "THAT EXPLAINS IT!"
"Explains what?" She asked confused.
"Why I still have Midori by the end of the night. Cause usually you drink it all" I said playfully hitting her arm.
"Well I won't be able to touch it for a while. Anyways, I better get going.I just came over to tell you the news. Sweetie, you're gonna be an aunt!" She said excitedly as she headed for the door.
"Awww, I'm so glad you consider me an aunt! I can't wait to meet the little guy or girl growing inside you. You and CC are going to make great parents" I said hugging her.
"So will you and Ashley someday. Hopefully soon" she said giving me a knowing smile.
"Yeah, soon, hopefully..." I said frowning.
"Sweetie, I know you guys are trying. Don't give up. It will happen for you."
"Kimmie, we have been trying for over six months! Nothing has happened."
"Have you guys considered treatment?"
"Ashleys been pushing me that way, but I know the problem is me."
"Riley get yourself checked out! You haven't been to the doctors for a while, why don't you just see if you can still have a baby. Otherwise you guys are having sex for nothing."
She made a good point, but I was in denial.
"You're not getting me. I don't want to believe something is wrong with me."
"Well you call me when you're no longer in denial. I can help with this. Okay?"
"Okay, I'll let you know" I said jokingly.
Kimber left and I could finally go downstairs and release my stress.

"Looking sexy Riles!" Ashley called over the music.
I was shocked to see him. I paused the music so I could talk normally.
"Hey, you're home early. I thought you weren't getting back till 11."
"Baby, it's 11:30. How long have you been down here?"
"Umm, well Kimber came over around 10. She only stayed for about 15 minutes. I came straight down here after that."
"So you've been down here for over 12 hours. Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm actually really hungry now. I'm gonna make some food" I said passing him to go upstairs.
Ashley watched me as I pulled out various food from the fridge to make chicken salad.
"Riles, I figured you were going to react this way. Can you stop being in denial? I know you want us to have a baby. I know! Please, just go get checked out" he pleaded.
"Ashley, I don't want to. It will happen, when it happens. Just can you let it go!" I said getting frustrated.
Ashley stayed silent through me making food for us, but when I had served Ashley his plate, I had put mine in the fridge.
"Aren't you eating with me?" Ashley said obviously hurt.
"No. I'm not hungry now" I said flatly.
I went upstairs, changed into bikini and went back downstairs, grabbing a towel on the way. I walked past Ashley, but tried to ignore him.
I slid into the spa outside and and just tried to relax myself. I was never going to hear the end of this now.

About 30 minutes later I could feel my muscles relaxing from a full day of strip practice. I heard the door slid open and I internally sighed.
I felt him get into the water and try to get my attention.
"Rileyyyyy, talk to me" he whined.
"I don't want to talk" I said with my eyes closed.
"Can you come sit near me at least? I've missed you. I can give you a back massage if you like?" I could almost see the asking smile.
I sighed loudly and moved to sit close to him so he could massage my back.
His hands curled over my shoulders, up my neck and down my spine. I couldn't help but moan in pleasure.
"Someone enjoying this?" Ashley said playfully.
"Shhh, don't ruin this. This is the most relaxed I've been all day."
"Well can I relax you a little more?" He said slyly.
I rolled my eyes at him and shook off his hands to get out of the spa.
"What? What did I say? Oh come on Riles" he said as I walked towards the door.
"I'm going to bed. You can join me if you like, but I plan on sleeping" I said sternly.
He gave me a wanting look and got out of the spa too.
We got into the shower just to take off the chlorine smell and I could feel Ashley trying to get my attention, but I really wasn't in the mood.
"Ash, I really don't want to. I just can't" I said turning off the water and getting out.
I pulled on a tank top and shorts, while Ashley only put on boxers. He climbed into bed next to me, but my back was to him.
"What's wrong Purdy Kitty? Not feeling it tonight?" He said wrapping an arm around my waist.
"Drop it Ashley. I'm not in the mood" I said annoyed.
"Riley. I'm sorry. I know this is a hard subject for us, but Riley, you have to talk to me" he said stroking my back.
"Okay, fine" I said sitting up and looking at him. "I'm jealous of my best friend. Ashley, we have been trying for months and nothing! I want get to checked out, I do, but I'm scared of the answer. I just want to believe that if we keep trying, we'll get pregnant."
"Baby, it will happen and if it doesn't we will forever live a carefree life together. Either way, I'm happy cause I get to spend it with you. Now will you please get here and let me cuddle you?"
I gave him a small smile and laid down near him. "Good answer" I mumbled.
I felt him laugh as I lay down on his chest. "I love you Riley."
"I love you too, Ash" I said as we went to sleep.

Hope you guys liked my Ashley and Riley short!
I needed a break from my other story and write about these guys. I actually miss writing about them, but I wouldn't know what I'd write. This is just something small that played on my mind.
Let me know what you think. I might do a couple other shorts, but I'll wait for times like this when I need a break from my other story.
I would love it if you would check out my other story as well. I am enjoying writing something different, but was nice to flashback to Riley and Ashley.
