Chapter Fifteen
MICHELLE'S POV-------
ONE MONTH LATER
It's been a month since the awards ceremony. The tour is almost over and two days before the wedding and I still don't have a dress. Sammi's baby is a girl, and CC and I have been dating almost a year. A few more months until my nineteenth birthday.
I walked out from the bathroom while putting in some dangly earrings. I looked around for Sammi.
"Sammi!?" I yelled.
"In here!!" She yelled from the kitchen.
"I'm ready to go pick out a dress." I said walking into the kitchen.
"Okay. Let me just get my purse and we're out of here." she said.
We got into a rental car and drove off to some dress shop. We walked inside and I was pretty much blinded by all the white dresses. A woman who worked there came up to us.
"So, who's the lucky bride?" she asked.
"Uh I am." I said walking forward.
"Great. When's the wedding?" she asked.
"In two days." I said.
"Oh, let's get this done then. You can sit here if you need to." she told Sammi, and she gratefully sat down.
"So, what kind of dress did you have in mind?" she asked.
"I haven't really thought about that actually." I said.
"Well, we can try on a few. I'll go get some so you can." she said, and she walked away.
"Sammi, I'm nervous about this." I said as soon as she was gone.
"It's okay. Every bride is nervous before the wedding." Sammi said.
"I..I know, but what if... what if I'm having second thoughts?" I said, and her eyes widened.
"You're having second thoughts about marrying CC? But he's so good for you!" She said.
"I know! I don't know what to do. I want to marry him, I'm just not sure if I can! I never had a lot of courage. Ever. That's why I'm so nervous Sammi." I said as the woman came back. Sammi have me a look telling me that we would talk about this later.
The dress was beautiful. It was strapless, which was what I was deciding on. From the waist down it opened more. It touched the floor which was what I wanted. I tried it on and Sammi's eyes widened.
"Oh my, Michelle that looks amazing on you!!" Sammi squealed. I smiled.
"Yes it does. That's one of our most popular dresses." the clerk said. I looked in the mirror. It was beautiful.
"I don't think we need to try anymore dresses." I said smiling. We bought the dress and some shoes that went amazing with it.
"Where are we going to keep it, because CC can't see it." I said.
"We'll keep it in mine and Jinxx's room, in my closet." Sammi said. I gave her a nod.
"So, back to our little conversation earlier." Sammi said, " How nervous are you about marrying CC?"
"To be completely honest, on a scale of one to ten, seven." I said looking at Sammi.
"Hun, there's nothing to worry about. It's just last minute shit. You will get over it. Just spend alone time with CC before the wedding. Today when we get back. I'll take the dress and you hang out with CC. Okay?" Sammi said.
"Okay. I'm actually feeling a bit better. Thanks Sammi." I said smiling.
"No problem." she said.
The rest of the drive was silent. We got back and Sammi called Jinxx to help her. He came rushing out to carry the dress for her. She kissed his cheek and I went inside making sure CC wasn't anywhere to be seen.
"Don't worry Michelle. I told CC you would meet him in your room." Jinxx called after me.
I went up to my room to find CC. He was turned around so I silently ran up and jumped on his back knocking him onto the bed.
"Holy shit Michelle. You fucking scared me." CC said. I started laughing and CC pulled me on top of him and kissed me. Then I remembered, I never told my mom about my engagement. I pulled away from CC and took my phone out my pocket and called my mom.
"Hello?"
"Hi mom. I know this is really late, but guess what?"
"What?"
"I'm engaged!!"
"What!? When?"
"A few months ago. But that's not the point."
"So what's the point?"
"I'm getting married in two days!"
"Umm to who?"
"CC!"
"....Well, I'm glad you told me. Congratulations sweetie!!"
"Bye mom"
"bye."
I hung up and looked at CC. He was giving me a what the fuck look.
"What?" I asked.
"You never told your mother!?" he asked.
"I forgot!! I'm sorry. My mom isn't going to be there anyway." I said looking at CC in disbelief.
"Okay. But still, you should of told her earlier." CC said.
"Can we drop this subject? Please?" I said smiling at him.
"Yes" he said smiling back.
"Guess what." I said.
"What?" he asked.
"I love you." I said.
"I love you too." CC said, and we continued our makeout session that I interrupted. We ended up falling asleep. CC had his arm wrapped around me. I no longer felt nervous. CC made it all better.
