My Legacy

CC's POV: So, Em and Christina get to go home today, which is awesome and the guys got that thing Andy was working on up and running. Now we can take her on tour with us still, and that will be awesome.
I have also noticed something about my sister. She's always got a determined stare going on now, almost like she's thinking of something way more than she should be. When I asked her about it the other day, she told me she was just thinking, but wouldn't tell me what about. I hope it's nothing bad. I mean, I know the situation she's in is bad, but I'm worried about what her thoughts are. Or worse, what her actions might be, in the long run. Hopefully we can give her something to look forward to, and she won't do anything stupid...Especially since she's loved BVB since the very beginning. As in This Prayer for You and The Gunsling beginning, and now she's going on tour with us and her very best friend.
As I enter her's and Em's shared hospital room, with a bouquet of blue and orange flowers for Em and black and red for Christina, I see they are already dressed and ready to go. Christina still has that hard, determined stare that puts me on edge, but I shrug it off for now. Today's supposed to be a good one.
"For you," I say to my sister, passing her the black and red flowers, and she forces a small smile as she thanks me. I do the same with the blue and orange flowers for Em who also thanks me, but with a wider smile and a slight blush to her pale cheeks. Wonder what that's all about.
"So, you guys ready to go?" I ask them, after a few moments.
"You know it," Em says cheerfully.
"I guess," Christina sighs, pulling the wheelchair closer to her bed, and locking the wheels.
I walk over to her and try to help her into the chair, but she pushes me away and snaps with, "I can do it myself!"
I flinch back from her sudden anger, then sit on her bed, ready to catch her if she falls. She takes her legs, one at a time, and gently places them over the edge of the bed. I then watch carefully, as she scoots to the edge herself, and using her upper body strength, pulls herself into the chair. She then arranges her legs on the leg rest things, and unlocks the chair.
I ask if she wants me to push her chair, but she glares at me with her hazel eyes. I'll take that as a no.
Christina then takes the bouquet and places it in her lap, on top of her small bag, and wheels herself into the hall, where Em and I follow. She goes up to a nurse and says, "We're ready. Our ride just got here."
The nurse nods, then takes the chair and starts wheeling my sister down the hall, but my sister says, "I don't care what policy is, I can do it myself. You can watch," then wheels the chair faster than I thought possible.
This is going to take some getting used to.
Ashley's POV: So, now all we have to do is wait for CC, Christina, and Emily to come out, then we'll help Christina into the chair we made her, and get her on the bus. Not in that order, exactly...
Anyway, when we see them come out, the nurse following Christina looks pissed, but Christina's not really one to care if she pisses you off. At least not when she's already pissed herself.
"There they are," I say, then we head out of the bus, and meet up with them. We talk for a moment, then when Christina's not paying any attention, CC grabs her stuff from her lap and I toss her over my shoulder. She screams and punches my back, but I get her into the bus and set her down in the chair. Andy moves her from the entrance way, into the living room section of the bus, and she glares at me for a moment.
"What the hell was that for?!" she demands.
"Had to get you on the bus somehow," Jinxx says, smiling at her.
"Besides, look at the chair you're sitting in," Jake adds, smiling with Jinxx.
This clearly takes her off guard and she looks down. The chair we made is her exact size, which means it's small enough to maneuver the bus with no problems. It's also decked out, so it fits her style, which Andy put me in charge of.
She smiles for the first time since the accident, and when I look at CC, I see a smile mirroring hers on his face. They both look so much younger now that everything seems to be working out.
"So, what do you think?" Andy asked.
"I love it," she says, then looks down at the wheels and asked, "Umm...How do I use it?"
"Like this," Andy says, walking over to her, and popping open the small compartment that controls the chair.
"Press this to move the chair forward, back, left or right, and press this to move the chair up and down," he explains to her, showing her how to use it.
"Up and down?" she asked.
"Up," he says, pressing the button and she's suddenly the same height as Andy, then he says, "Down," and presses the button controlling that.
"That's actually really cool," Emily states, smiling at her best friend.
"Thanks. We worked our asses off on it," I say.
"Wait. You made this?" Emily asked, looking just as shocked as Christina.
"Yes, we did," I say, "Andy came up with the general design, Jinxx and Jake worked on the frame for it, Andy's friend made the motor for it, and CC and I designed it with the painted skulls and flames, and the other various designs."
"Wow," Emily says.
"Thank you guys so much," Christina says, "It's awesome. I love it."
"We also have another surprise for you ladies," Andy says, "CC, will you do the honors?"
"I will. Thanks, dude," CC says, then turns to the girls and says, "We would like for you two to come on tour with us. We already took care of your rent for the next 4 months, if you choose to join us."
The girls look at each other, then back to us and say, "We'd love to!"
