My Legacy

I Might Be What?

Andy's POV: CC asked for one of us to get him a crowbar, as he kneeled by his little sister's side on the passenger's seat. Ashley shouts that he's got it, and bolts for the bus, a moment later returning with the item in question and passing it to CC.
CC takes the bar as the police, fire, and medics pull up to the scene. He jams it in somewhere and we hear a huge crack from inside the car. He then jams it in somewhere else which is followed by an even louder crack, and then he's shouting to us to be ready to take her.
The paramedics hear this, and rush over with a board to carry Christina on, and we help CC get Christina out of the car as gently as we can. When I see how beat up she is, I gasp in horror. She has a gash, similar to Emily's on the side of her head, which has turned her white shirt red. Her body is like lifting dead weight as we pull her from the wreckage, and she's complaining loudly as we shift her ever so slightly. She has tears rolling down her face, smearing her black eyeliner and mascara. She looks terrified, to be perfectly honest.
We then gently lay her on the back board, and the paramedics start to work without hesitation. They ask her some simple questions, then stitch her head up, and start an IV in her hand. Another paramedic brings over a stretcher, and they lift her onto the thing, then wheel her to the ambulance.
CC looks back at us, and I say, "Go, man. Be with your sister. I'll take care of Emily."
He nods, then runs after then shouting, "Thanks, see you at the hospital!" behind him.
I tell the guys to get to the bus and meet us there, as I climb in the ambulance with Emily. She's awake now, but has very little memory of what just happened. She's got stitches, as well as an IV, and looks up at me and asked, "What happened? Who are you?"
It's going to be a long night...
Christina's POV: My head doesn't hurt as bad now, but I still can't feel my legs. I voice this concern to the paramedic with short brown hair, who's taking care of my head still, and a flash of concern crosses his features. What was that about?
"Can you feel any of this?" he asked, and when I look down at him, I see he's thumping on the area under my knee with one of those hammer things. I shake my head, feeling slightly panicked. What's going on? Why can't I feel that?
"What's going on with her?" Christian demands, holding my hand gently.
The paramedic shakes his head sadly, and replies, "I have an idea, but when we get to the hospital, they'll run some simple test and be able to tell you for sure."
"What do you think it is?" I now demand.
He looks me in the eye and says, "You might be paralyzed."
Oh shit....

Aw. Thank you. :3 That makes me feel so much better about writing this story now, since it's my first one. And I agree. Hospitals are not fun....at all.
