Behind The Makeup

2 months later.

The guys from BVB are doing a show for a terminally ill fan, Joey Langston who's 15 and from Dallas, Texas, whose make a wish was to be a rock star. With the guys being super big hearted they took this kids wish and made it a 3 event special. They even got his favortie local band, Reverse Theory, to join them to make this kids dream come true. Black Veil Brides arrive at their venue as they walk backstage to prep their insturments they hear, someone scream "DAYUMMM IT!!!!" Everyone turns to see the manager of the band Reverse Theory, Victor, completely stroking out.

John approaches cautiously, "everything ok man??"

Victor shakes his head, "Not really my band is so hung over and tore up there is no way they're gonna be in any shape to perform and even if they partially get it together this is basically their debut. There's not a bigger chance to get them out there than this right here. If they come out like that their careers are over before it even starts."

John pus his hand on his shoulder, "Hey man don't worry we will figure something out I mean we have several hours maybe we can sober them up."

Victor shakes his head, "I've seen it first hand I'm saying its a lost cause."

John smiles at him, "where there is a will there is a way...here let me go tell the guys about what's going on and then you and I can see if we can clean them up and get them ready for tonights shows." I'm mentally soooo beyond THANKFUL for my guys.

John and Victor head to RT's bus the guys of BVB can't resist the curiosity and follow them. As they enter the bus it is gag level- MAXIMUM grossout11!! From the drunken puke-o-rama that happened fairly recently. It's everywhere the guys are everywhere, most are naked,there are naked girls everywhere. It is a crazy hot mess not to mention the stinch is gut churning. With that conclusion the guys from bvb decide to head back to the venue leaving John and Victor to clean up the Lords of Puke. Victor finally sees the lead singer Matrix and walks over to him and shakes his shoulder.

Matrix rolls over n groggily mumbles, "hmmmmm."

Victor looks at him, "Mat...?? it's me Victor you gotta get up y'all have a show to do in a few hours."

Matrix still face down muffles, "mmmmmkkkkk."

Victor was annoyed now, "Mat!!"

Matrix muffled, "what??"

Victor still annoyed screamed, "GET UP!!" Matrix rolls over and to everyones horror had thrown up on himself in his sleep. It was caked in his hair and covered his body from head to waist. John and Victor both couldn't help but GAG at the sight of him. Victor grabs Matrix's clean side and trys to help the extremely entoxicated man to the showers. Matrix stumbles and trips but manages to make his way to the hallway of the bunk area. Victor tries to stay with him but the narrow hallway forces them to walk side ways. Victor steps in something wet and slips falling to his butt pulling Matrix down with him. The sudden movement ends badly as Matrix retches and pukes in the hallway. Victor tries to get up but slips again. Finally he gets a grip on the lowest bunk and pulls himself to his knees he turns to see what he slid in and to his horror realizes it is vomit. John is mentally slapping himself for thinking there was a possiblity of cleaning this up.

John looks over at him worried, "Vic??"

Vic gags as he removes his suit jacket which amazingly caught most of the substance he landed in and looks at John, "Yea??"

John shakes his head, "never mind this is getting us nowhere but sick to my stomach." Then there was a retching noise and the Drummer stumbles trying to get to the bus door but fails and pukes all over the adjacent couch. John exits the bus followed quickly by Victor.

Victor shakes his head in defeat, "the guys we can clean up. The bus I think is a lost cause. You think I could file an insurance claim for damages?" He sighs and gives a fake laugh.

John laughs with him, "doubtful my friend, very doubtful. So we can say that the guys caught a 24-48 hour stomach bug and will have to reschudule their debut. With it being this many hours before the show it should gain fan sympathy instead of disappointment."

Victor nods, "ok so instead of performing here in Anaheim we can meet up with y'all at the venue in L.A."

John nods, "sounds good." Victor starts to walk away. "HEY Vic!!"

Victor turns around, "Yea??"

John laughs, "you might wanna keep them away from alcohol."

Victor laughs and nods, "that's a definite!!!"

John returns to the backstage area and to his band.

Andy looks at John, "so how'd it go?"

John shakes his head, "they are gonna have to cancel tonight. So my solution for an opening band tonight is to do individual solos on stage pre-show and then have y'all do your set and then do the meet and greet and hit the road sound good?"

Jake nods, "I mean yea that's doable but John that's a long set to fill even if we all do a solo."

Ashley nods in agreement, "that's true.. they have a 45 minute time placement."

CC shook his head, "ok..." Then looks at his phone, "fans are not really pleased with RT bailing out of tonights show."

Andy jumps up, "I have an idea!"

John looks at Andy hopeful, "what's that?"

Andy smiles, "we could release a statement wishing RT a speedy recovery from their illness which will calm down irratated fans and we could say instead of RT we will have another band fill in temporarily as our opening act."

John shakes his head, "ok are we just gonna pull a band out of someone's ass?"

Ashley picking up where Andy was going chimes in, "what about Kiss The Dead? We've been working with them and as the fans know ours and theirs not to mention that we are mentoring the band. It seems only appropriate that they open for us."

CC jumps up, "hell yea!!"

Jake laughs, "he's only all for it cause the drummer is his kid." Everyone laughs.

John looks at Andy, "are they ready for this cause the same steaks apply. This would be their first BIG gig if they falter they may never recover professionally."

Jinxx nods, "I think they are ready."

John looks at all of them, "y'all do remember the drummer is a 14 year old kid."

Andy nods, "yea we do and we had the same reservations about his age. Hell all their ages at first too but, John they're ready."

John nods, "ok if y'all believe in them then I will back this decision 100% I hope y'all are right." With that everyone jumps on to their social media to alert the fans to the opening show line up change. Within minutes the tweets become viral. Everyone has been waiting to see the band that BVB had taken into mentoring.

CC picks up his phone and dials Bash.

Sebastian (bash)- "hello??"

CC starts rambling, "hey punk! Look I know this is gonna hit you out of left field but uh y'all have a gig tonight!"

Bash- "what?? are you..... serious??" His heart starts pounding.

CC jumps up n down with Andy and Ash, "yes sir!"

Bash- "Holy shit... where?? when??" He completely spazes. You can hear Krista in the background. "Honey is everything ok?" Bash speaks to his mom muffled, "yea CC called he said we have a gig tonight! Cee?"

CC laughs, "yea??"

Bash- "sorry I had to have a calming moment and tell mom what was going on. Ok so give me the details."

CC smiles, "ok so it's like 4:30 you need to get the guys and y'all need to get here asap. Tell your mom to drive the Yukon don't worry about getting y'alls gear you can use ours. You have sound check in an hour and the show will start at 7. BASH!! don't freak out y'all have got this we are gonna be right there with yall..I PROMISE."

Bash now nervous, scared, and slightly nauseated replies, "ok....."

After CC gets off the phone with Bash, him and the guys exchange glances even though they know in their heart of hearts the boys are ready. They are still boys though Jamison and Jesse are the oldest and they are just 17. CC shakes his head I hope we know what were doing!

Andy looks at CC's worried face, "Chuppy you remember watching them play...that night at Tactical?"

Jinxx nods, "I do I was totally engaged."

Jake jumps up n down, "yea my eyes bugged out when they told us their ages I couldn't believe it!"

Ashley nods, "and the talent ...kids or not they're talented.."

CC smiles, "yea that they are and I know they're ready for this... its just...that's my kid...I feel like I'm throwing him to the wolves."

Jinxx hugs CC, "but bash and the boys will come back as leaders of the pack." He smiles.
About 20 minutes later KTD arrive at the back stage area. BVB greets them warmly and Bash immediately runs to CC who wraps him in a tight hug.

CC chuckles, "you ok lil man?"

Bash grins, "yea I'm just nervous. I feel like screaming, puking, passing out, and probably not in that order." The guys laugh.

CC shakes his head, "you're gonna do fine."

John walks in and tells the guys from KTD it is time for sound check. They walk out onto the empty stage and geek out for a few minutes. They run to the front of the stage totally in awe of the empty seats in front of them, then reality sets in that within the hour all those seats wont be empty and they get a gut check moment of clarity. They glance at one another.

Jamison looks around in awe, "this is real right?" Xerox pinches Jami, "OOOUCH!!!"

Xerox laughs, "yea dude it's real." The other boys laugh nervously.

They take their places and due to the absence of Genesis they've decided to do their infamous instrument switch out with each other allowing each member to take a turn at the mic showing the bands amazing diversity in vocal and instrumental ability. After sound check is done they boys retreat back stage to hair and makeup. They opt to stay true to form and wear what they've always worn. Jesse, Jami, and Xerox wear their true to form leather pants. Xerox puts on his infamous bandana and Jesse and Jami head off for teasing and flat irons. Bash slides into his favor pair of distressed blue jeans and work boots, his vintage Motley Cru shirt and slides on his trademark black plaid button down left undone of course. He pops in front of the mirror for a split second to apply eyeliner to his lower lids, flips his head upside down shakes his head rapidly and rights his self slides his bandana on turns and excitedly says, "finished*!" The stylists faces are priceless he gives them two thumbs up, huge grin and exits hair and makeup. Jami and Jesse die of laughter when he re-enters the backstage area, they guys all smile at him.

Jake shakes his head and laughs, "Bash the unchangeable.." Bash smiles, "hey do y'all know where my moms at?"

Jinxx nods, "yea I think she said something about forgetting her phone in the Yukon or something."

Bash nods, "ok thanks," he wonders off to find his mom thinking to himself. I just want to make sure she's ok she was acting kinda off earlier. Krista walks into view and Bash relaxes as he sees his mom's ok. She hugs him as his nerves are eating him up. But just having his mom there helps him calm down. They walk back into the backstage area arm and arm. Bash still feels like somethings not quiet right with him mom. John calls everyones attention and said the guest of honor wanted to meet the alternate band.

John smiles, "Joey I would like to introduce you to KTD this is Bash, Xerox, Jess, and Jami." The guys all wave being so close in age and with similar interests they hit it off right away. Finally John announces it's show time, the guys line up at the back of the stage waiting for their final cue their hearts pounding. John gives them the all clear and they take the stage. Krista and CC stand together, looking like worried parents, as Bash takes his seat behind the drum kit. He sees a note CC stuck to the center drum saying "breathe Bash and ROCK OUT!!! \m/." Bash smiles sticks the note to the leg of his jeans, looks up at Jami whose starting off as lead and drops the beat and the fans go wild!
