six feet under the stars

put it in your pocket save it for a rainy day

I woke up with a sleepy feeling that rested in my bones. The bright light of the hot California sun poured through the window onto my purple comforter. It made me feel almost like I was home. But home doesn't have all these posters littered against the wall.
I stood up and walked over to the wall. Posters of bright haired girls and long haired guys. It was amazing. Then I walked up to one I recognized. Black veil brides. You could see the sky of my home in his eyes. A petrifieing blue. "The first time I saw that face I saw the eyes. It made me see home. It was perfect. And nothing could go wrong." Delilah startled me from behind.

"you like them too then."i said not really asking it.
" you could say that." She smiled and looked at me again. "You wanna go for a walk. You know the streets of California have the same rule as central park."

"don't go out after dark." I mocked every mother of upper Manhattan ever.

"and that's all the fun come on get dressed and we can go out and see the wonderland of this fine state." She laughed and walked out.
"yup. western new york. They didn't even notice that the bathroom was always shut." Delilah was talking to me about how she ran away from new york. The real part is what she calls it. We had been out for three hours and noon was just minutes away. We turned the corner and a bunch of guys where hanging by the end of the street. "So what's your story?"
I looked at her and back at the bunch of guys. They where questionable. "Well I was born and raised in queens but I moved to Broadway six years ago...." I trailed off looking at the guys. We where getting closer and they where starting to notice that we where. "And um, three years ago. Uh the winter was pretty bad." We where Really close now. Even Delilah was noticing.
"Hey you girls seem to be a little lost." One said
"yeah you girls need a little help getting home." One stepped really close to Delilah. She didn't flinch. Didn't look just stood there.
"oh whats the matter girl. You shy. I like shy." The man whispered in her ear.
"Oh no I know she definitely isn't. She would bite your head off right now if it weren't for that chick right there. But for all we know you are the victim here. Hey there Delilah." A man in a hoodie said. You couldn't see his face. "Now you can leave now without any consequences or you could stay and see the wrath of a crazy woman and a man who wears mascara. Your choice." Amazingly enough they left. But the man in the hoodie was still there.
