Love The Way You Lie

Twenty minutes later everyone piled into their respective vehicles and set out towards Universal Studios Hollywood. Jake and Jinxx picked up Ella and Sammi so Emerson would have a few other girls. Andy had explained to her that Sammi and Jinxx were having problems and weren't just dating; they were married. So Jinxx was trying everything to salvage the marriage but nothing seemed to be working.

As Andy and Emerson drove down the freeway, following behind CC and Ashley, Emerson imagined what it would be like to walk down an aisle towards Andy. She used to imagine herself walking to Kelly all the time and now she couldn't seem to do that. The only person it seemed right with was Andy.

She looked over at him. His beautiful baby blues were locked on the road and his hand not on the steering wheel was holding Emerson's. They weren't too far from Universal but she wanted to savor every bit of the peaceful car ride before things got crazy. She'd only known the guys for a few hours but she could tell that they had a go big or go home policy.

One of her favorite songs called Calling All Skeletons by Alkaline Trio was softly playing in the background and Andy was humming along. They had figured out their shared love of the band last night while talking over Toy Story 3.

"Do you ride stuff?" Emerson asked, breaking the silence.

Andy's lips curled up a bit just at the sound of her voice. "I will."

"But you didn't before?" She pried, looking over at him.

"I did with Scout, and then I just didn't see the need when I got older." He shrugged.

"Because they're fun! Do you need a reason better than that?" She asked.

"Not anymore." It was a simple response. Mundane even, but it elated Emerson to no end. She was breaking him, not even slowly, she was surely breaking him of being so sullen. He was enjoying life again and that was so beautiful to her.

She didn't reply, just laid her head on his shoulder, letting him know she was always there. "Do you mind if I smoke?" He asked. She shook her head and watched as he pulled out a pack of cigarettes and his lighter. He quickly lit it and took a long puff. He rolled down his window and held his hand on the roof.

"Why did you start smoking?" She said, looking up at him.

"Anxiety suppressor." He said, blowing out more smoke. "Also something to do when I'm awake in the middle of the night. And it helps with writing."

"Bit of an insomniac, I see." She said. He chuckled and nodded.

"It's the worst but I haven't had it with you around." He smiled, as he veered off onto the exit for Universal. "Excited?" He asked, eyeing a large roller coaster in the distance.

"Mhm, it's going to be fun." She said, pecking him quickly. It didn't take long for them to park next to Ashley and CC with Jake, Jinxx, Ella, and Sammi behind them in a black Land Rover.

Andy and Emerson hopped out of the car. He immediately grabbed her hand, smiling at the other two girls. "Hey Sams, Ella." He said. The girls had always been nice to him, and some of his best friends. It pained him to know Jinxx and Sammi had been having problems. He just hoped they would work through it.

Sammi's nose immediately turned up at the sight of the new girl. Being a girlfriend of the band was sort of like a club. You had to earn your keep, and Sammi always really liked Scout. She'd also always had a bit of a crush on Andy and it's one of the reasons for her failing marriage.

"Hey." She smiled at Andy.

"Hey." Ella said in her British accent. She liked the look of Emmerson. Her long blonde and brown hair was wavy and beautiful. She had some sweet tattoos and Andy looked at her in a way that he'd never looked at Scout. "I'm Ella." She said, extending her hand towards her. She meekly shook Ella's with a small smile.

"Emerson." She said, softly.

"I'm Sammi." She said, crossing her arms.

"Nice to meet you." Emerson smiled, looking up at Andy. Sammi didn't seem to like her very much and that was making her nervous.

"Mhm." Sammi mumbled.

"Everyone ready!?" Ashley exclaimed. Shouts of excitement came from the group so they started the journey inside the park. As they walked Emerson heard a conversation behind her.

"I don't like her..." Sammi muttered. "She's using him." Emersons heart broke so she looked up at Andy who had seemed to have heard it too.

"She's making him really happy." Jinxx said.

"Yeah Scout did too." Andy spun around and shot a glare at her, before wrapping an arm around Emerson's neck. "Just saying."

"Don't listen to her." Andy whispered in her ear. She looked up at him and smiled softly, before resting her head on his shoulder. They got in line for tickets and she wrapped her arms around his waist.

"I was worried someone wouldn't like me." She sighed. He kissed her forehead and laid his head on hers.

"Well I like you so it doesn't matter. Plus I don't think Sammi will be around much longer." He said, rubbing her arm.

"Oh.." Emerson said, frowning. They walked up to the booth being next in line and smiled at the women inside.

"Hi can I help you?" She asked.

"Yeah two day tickets." Andy said.

"You don't have to pay for me, Andy!" She exclaimed.

"Awh, looks like you don't really have a choice." He said, kissing her lightly, and handing the lady his credit card.

"You spoil me." She smirked and he laughed.

"That's my job." He grinned.

"I wish my boyfriend was as sweet as you." The women gushed.

"He makes me feel like crap all the time for being so sweet." Emerson chuckled, "Thanks." She said as the women handed them the tickets. Emerson couldn't help but notice how beautiful Andy looked in his black wife beater, jeans, and boots. All eyes were on him and something told her that's always how it was.

It felt nice for her hand to be in his. For his arm to be around her hip. It made her feel like someone had finally picked her over others and that was a great feeling.

Once everyone had tickets they walked inside the park, scanning the small pieces of paper on the way. "Stop for a quick photo?" A photographer asked.

"Hell yeah!" CC exclaimed. The group all posed, Emerson on Andy's back, and smiled at the camera. The guy handed Andy a card to let them review the photo later.

"What do you guys want to do first?" Jake asked, wrapping his arm around Ella's shoulders.

"The Mummy!" CC cheered, excitedly. No one seemed to have any other ideas so the group set off towards the ride. Andy had his arm around Emerson's neck and she had hers around his waist.

"It's so hot." Andy groaned, running a hand though his hair.

"Have you forgotten how hot it is on Warped, Biersack?" Ashley laughed.

"Nope. Yeah that's something else your going to have to adjust too. Different temperatures in every state." Andy chuckled, looking down at Emerson.

"Wait, she is going on tour!? Jinxx what the fuck!" Sammi screamed.

"Uh-" Emerson was cut off before she could say anything.
"You said I couldn't tour this time! Why does she get to go!?" Sammi stopped walking and Andy's eyes widened as he saw how mad she looked.

"Well, Sammi you always need your own bunk and we just don't have space this time. Emerson is sleeping with Andy so it's not hard to accommodate." Jinxx replied.

"I'm so fucking done, Jinxx." She said, walking away.

"I-I didn't mean to-"

"No, Em, you didn't say anything." Andy said, angrily.

"You guys go ahead and we'll catch up later." Jinxx said, running after Sammi.

"She can't ever play nice, can she?" Ashley shook his head.

"Guess not." Jake crossed his arms.

"Let's go. I don't want this to ruin the day." Andy said, rubbing Emersons arm.

They walked on to the Mummy and quickly got in line. It wasn't too long and before they knew it they were about halfway through. Jake got a text from Jinxx saying they were going home and wondering if Ella and him could catch a ride with someone else.

"They left." Jake sighed.

"She's such a bitch these days." CC shook his head. Andy pulled Emerson into his chest and rested his chin on her head.

"We'll take you guys home, Jake." Andy said.

"Thanks dude. Should have not ridden with the failing couple." He sighed.

"Let's just have fun and try to forget about that." Andy said, rubbing Emersons back. He knew she thought this was her fault and it wasn't. It was Sammi being Sammi.

They walked through the rest of the line in about two minutes before they picked two rows to sit in and made sure it was even. CC and Ashley were riding with Emerson and Andy and Jake and Ella were going to be right behind them.

Andy pulled Emerson by the hand to their seats. He sat on the end and she in between him and CC.

The worker came around to check their lap bars and Emerson grabbed Andy's arm. He chuckled down at her, "You scared?" He poked her side.

"Maybe.." She laughed, and rested her head on his shoulder. They felt the car start to move.

"Ahh!" She chuckled, burying her face in his neck.

"You are so cute." He laughed, as she took his hand across her lap bar. Fake fire blew around them, lights flashed, and Emerson screamed as a bunch of fake mummy's popped up. "I am so making you do a haunted house during Halloween!" He shouted above the noise.

"I will kill you!" Emerson yelled back. They started to go up a large hill, everything was cloaked in darkness of the indoor rollercoaster and all of the sudden it blasted off.

With the wind blowing through her hair, and Andy by her side Emerson felt infinite.
